Things are not looking good for this weekend's games. So in all seriousness, what does happen if teams don't get all their games in - no points or 0-0 ties? That could skew some standings. www.weather.com/weather/weekend/l/30066:4:US

I think they will keep extending the season until they are all played.

Season has been extended to Dec 13th by GA Soccer. Last spring was just as bad, we had to play several weeknight games and two games in one day to get them all in.

We've already had two weeknight games but there are teams in our division with up to 5-6 games left. They'll be hard pressed to get them all in

My son's team had 3 weekends with (a tournament or) no regular season select games, and they have only three to play. They play home games on turf, and even swapped an away game for home because turf... so I guess that's all the difference.
Smaller divisions may be the way to go.

Still wouldn't help my kids u15 team. 4 games completed (2 played last weekend), 5 rainouts now more rain possibly causing another this weekend. We have one on turf on Friday but the other two might be rained out. Already rescheduled a game for Thanksgiving weekend. Can't wait to see the attendance for that one with injuries and people traveling. Add tournaments in the mix and it's a crazy mess! Reschedules are bad enough but add in fields being unavailable due to tourneys and other teams unavailable due to them being in tourneys. Also, what's the chances we don't have more rain? Arrrrrrrgh!

What is the likelihood of Georgia Soccer cancelling the tournament this weekend? Can't imagine what McCurry would looke like after 2 weeks of rain.

Any idea what the refund or reschedule plan is for Presidents Cup?? I mean they can't just cancel it can they? Maybe they need to start calling Cobb County Board of Ed to see if they can use those HS turf fields and same would go for Gwinnett County Parks/Rec and all the turf "football/multi purpose" fields.

And the rain claims a tournament now. The weather stinks.
At least they made the call on Thursday and did not wait until Saturday morning...

The overlap between ODP and the participants in this tournament should be few and far between.
Really targeting two different types of players.
If there is overlap in coaches, there should be plenty of club coaches avaiable to step in who work within the club

I can see a lot of the U16 and up teams pulling out now.

Every ODP player i know plays for the club's top team, and the ones that play for the second team...that team is still Athena A/Classic 1 -- since the top team is in RPL. I was thinking more of a coaching issue, but theres 3-4 coaches in every group so that should be able to be worked out

Interesting...the player i know is playing Classic 1, not the top team. I still think we are talking about a very rare situation. I don't see teams pulling out of tournament because of 1 or 2 players

We also have an ODP player on our team and we are signed up for this tournament. Not all ODP players jump to the big clubs.

It is kinda nice that a tournament didn't just cancel and looked to reschedule

The D2 side of the President's Cup has to be played at some point since the winners go on to play in Regional competition. Also, for ODP players, the ODP policy is that if there is a conflict with a club game, the player should stay with the club team.

This ODP weekend is not just a training weekend; it is the Sub-Regional event. Would suck for players to have to miss that because GA Soccer double booked.
