It just got more confusing ENPL announces Qualifying Competitions. usclubsoccer.org/2016/11/18/enpl-announces-virginia-national-premier-league-and-boys-ecnl-southeast-conference-as-qualifying-competitions/Anyone at one of the listed GA clubs with insight? Are they going to have a separate fall/spring league? Does it just complement an exhisting schedule similar to NPL? Will these teams be higher than RPL teams etc? The Boys ECNL Southeast Conference includes the following initial clubs: Atlanta Fire (GA)Birmingham United SA (AL) Carolina Elite SA (SC) Concorde Fire (GA)Florida Elite SA (FL) Florida Kraze Krush (FL) GSA (GA)Jacksonville Armada (FL) NASA Tophat (GA)Orlando City Youth Soccer (FL) Tampa Bay United (FL) Tennessee SC (TN)

This league will give players who want to play high school a high level playing option. DA doesn't allow players to play high school. Our player said no to DA because they don't allow high school play. He wanted to play with his friends and we support that decision. This may force DA to reconsider this policy.

Sounds like it's the clubs' RPL teams that play post-Fall in another league. That's what NPL did.

Glad boys will be able to play high school. Good decision. DA take note.

Interesting, and the timing couldn't be better for this league to attract top clubs given how poorly SRPL is administered right now.

I would agree this will take more teams out of Georgia Soccer. I would disagree that the best play DA. All of the clubs listed could compete with any teams. Concorde has other issues as I've heard they have lost fields next year. Hopefully they will find some.

If these GA clubs place their top teams in this league, and it is in the Fall, seems ENPL would deplete SRPL also...

Can someone confirm with the four big clubs playing the Fall 2017 ENPL and UFA/SSA playing in NPL what level does that leave those clubs teams for Classic/Athena? My guess is 2nd/3rd teams at best. Another question, after the DA year for U12/13 is over, for those that don't make Georgia United or Concorde fire, will they be rolling into these leagues? Is anybody else seeing this? Before the expansions of the DA teams and the arrival of Atlanta United, Classic and Athena had great competition within Georgia. Is that going away? Will US youth soccer/Georgia soccer do anything about it?

You are confusing it with National League which is just 2 events, not a season and not everyone has teams in it. If there is no expansion then yes a lot of kids will go back to play in Select or RPL or ENPL come next fall

Yea, gonna be another crazy year for sure. I've heard some rumors that Concorde will not be helping to fund the older kids DA next year and fees will be increased to cover the costs.

What are CF da fees now? I believe GAU is 2k. But, I could see the fees needing to be higher at the older age groups due to the FL travel requirement.

yes this season, all expenses are included etc. I think (sorry think..) that concorde still has the boys bring $$ for meals. For the GA Uniteds u13s and u14s meals are included with all their travel.

I have heard the same thing. I did hear that Disney was separate though and they had to pay for that

Any updates on ENPL? How real is this league? Do you all think it will replace RPL for larger clubs, or will it be in addition to ...?
The league's timing couldn't be better - many are fed up with this year's SRPL administration.

The league's timing couldn't be better - many are fed up with this year's SRPL administration. It can't be replaced at all the clubs when its only offered by the clubs that have ECNL. And I agree SRPL administration was bad, but I did hear they were getting rid of the 1st Division so maybe that will make it easier for them

Wow, no first division?! That would change things.

Wow, no first division?! That would change things. There not saying goodbye to anything. Someone will always be willing to pay to play, the only decision they will have to make is whether ENPL will be ahead or below RPL. RPL has National League attached and qualifications for Regionals, they will also have to give up State Cup like on the girls side. Definitely WAY too many programs and I haven't heard anyone yet saying they will leave RPL for ENPL. 1st Division - They sent an email saying they were getting rid of it, but someone mentioned last week that they may decide to keep it after all.

As mentioned above, I heard concorde would definitely be putting their top non DA teams in ENPL.
You have to assume all the others would do the same and GSA/AFU would have their top boys teams competing in ENPL over RPL. (You have to assume that Christian Lavers required this for acceptance)

WOW, anyone know how much money US CLUB SOCCER made in 2016? Like to see what it will do for 2017 as the Boys ECNL (ENPL) is popping up all over the US. How can families afford all this traveling? Who is benefiting the most out of these leagues?

Interesting article. For those that have participated in ECNL, does the league have more freedoms than USYS in terms of State Associations' regulations?
