I heard a rumor that concorde had some DA players play in state cup. The rumor I had heard was specifically 2003s playing up with another team. Is this true? Is this legal? I thought concorde/GB got in trouble a few years ago for doing this?

It is per the rules - club pass technically. We played a UFA team that rostered some AU players recently let go by AU, and they signed them to the club in time.

Yes in theory, but was under the impression they could only play if they quit DA etc.

Yes in theory, but was under the impression they could only play if they quit DA etc. At the younger ages for most clubs, and all ages for CF, a club pass is easy - the players are already there. I am not sure if it matters whether some quit - the DA season is over, and the club wants to help the club. For AU, they let kids go, and I know of one club that snatched at least one up very quickly. I guess some could have quit ...

My guess is with the new u13 age group we had this year, that its not quite clear on what the rule is with using DA players that have finished their seasons in state cup.

I don't know if it is true or not but i can 100% say that rules have been broken before by cf and I think their mindset is if we don't get called out on it and in trouble we are going to do it. And considering that team only won 2 games all spring season and won their first two games in state cup , I instantly thought there was something fishy !
