Hi guys
I don't really know much about how soccer works here. My son mostly play competitive baseball, but hes pretty good at soccer too. Since it is the fall, we were hoping that maybe he can play some pick up games for some teams during the fall. It happens normally in travel baseball, where teams will take up players due to injury or just want some extra depth. Is that possible in travel soccer? If so, where should i go to find teams, and/or who should i contact? If I can't do that, do you guys have any good alternatives?
thanks

Clubs can have guest players however the player must have a playing card. Players get a card through Georgia Soccer typically. A player can't be added to a roster without a card unless they are scrimmaging. Not sure any club would do that because of potential liability. I doubt baseball teams do this either.

As an alternative to guest playing on a team, many facilities host open play nights, typically on a Friday or Sunday evening, where all ages and skill levels come together to just play. Like pick up basketball.

True pickup games happen at every park that isn't locked, in areas with lots of Hispanics. I've wanted my gringo son to go play with them for years...
