The schedule is wrong. AU is playing SCCL U12, should be updated by the end of the week I concur. I heard that all SCCL and SCCL-p dates if not game times as well will be complete and correct by the end of Labor Day weekend. By the end of Labor Day weekend? Don't they all kick-off that weekend? (8/31-9/1)

As a glutten for punishment, I went and clicked through the 7 boys' age group schedules and it appears they all kick off that Labor Day weekend. But whatever... back to the orginal post thread, perhaps ATL UTD will be added to the u12 schedules by 9/7.

No other team in the SCCL-p divisions are playing until 9/7-9/8. So I guess technically it kicks-off Labor Day weekend, but only two clubs are playing. As far as SCCL-1 goes, I have no clue. I don't see their schedule listed at all on the site. I would assume that they aren't starting since AFU is not SCCL-1. I am just going by what club officials at our club told us on start and schedule info.

Looking at the website for SCCL all age groups boys and girls appear to have most if not all teams playing labor day weekend.

All of boys -1 looks to be starting Labor day weekend. Changing or adding to the schedule 2 weeks out seems odd...

If a player is in the current u12 AU pool and they stay in for u13 next year - it will then say AU. If they come from another youth club - it will credit the youth club.

SCCL-P east division vs SCCL-P west division crossover. I don't have any info on where this will be held (Atlanta or South Carolina, or somewhere meeting in the middle), but it is supposed to be 2 days with multiple games. The regular season games are getting moved to other days to accomodate this. I kind of with they had thought this through a little better and put this on the prior Columbus Day weekend especially if the Atlanta teams are going to have to travel to South Carolina to play. At least then the teams and families could make an extended weekend out of it.

However, the numbers do not match up too well--7 West clubs and 11 East clubs

SCCL Premier is the 2nd division SCCL is the 1st division If you were referring to that instead of what UFA call their teams. I'm not entirely sure what the person said above about UFA is correct. I know for a fact the UFA-Norcross Premier team in U14B is the SCCL-P team not the SCCL team. So that might be their best team in Norcross for that age group but obviously the UFA Forsyth team is probably got the 1st division SCCL spot. UFA Norcross U14 SCCL-P is a completely new team, there are 4-5 top players from last season that made the cut. Sibaja hand picked this team from DA tryouts, he recruited the last cuts from DA tryouts to Norcross team. Let us see what this team can do on the pitch. Having watched U14B DA, NPL, SCCL and SCCL-P at tryouts, this Norcross SCCL-P team is as good as NPL team at Forsyth if not better but that is just my opinion. Results should speak and I think there are some very strong SCCL-P teams with that being some club’s 2nd best team like AFU. I was told Sibaja did not "hand pick" that team by any means. The coach that took over that team towards the end of the season is who selected the boys and invited the new players

The coach that took over that team towards the end of the season is who selected the boys and invited the new players I double checked and this is what I am told; Sibaja had BK at his DA tryouts. First Sibaja told some parents who approached him 1:1 that they wouldn’t make the DA cut and strongly recommended going to Norcross. Next day BK invited 9 kids to Norcross. Some of these kids tried out for Forsyth NPL and SCCL but liked coach BK and the team in the end. 8 from DA tryouts(3-4 made AFU ECNL), 5 from old team, 1 from GSA(old UFA player), 1 new player who moved in from out of state(keeper) and 3 from current UFA SCCL’s best players from last year make up the 18. Yes, in the end coach BK picked and convinced these boys/parents but Sibaja played a “key role” if not “hand picked”. I hear nothing but great things about Coach BK and yes as some one else might have mentioned earlier, this team is 18 deep. They don’t get weaker when the subs go in. I was also told that players who left Forsyth for this team weren’t happy since they didn’t see path to NPL(cliquish) or DA. Also, one of the DA keeper from last year was dropped to Forsyth SCCL team because coach GJ is set on his players but in the end took 3 players from outside the club rather than promoting.

We haven’t been told this yet and with that being Homecoming weekend it would be great to know now so we don’t invest in any homecoming stuff.

Is there a cost associated with the SCCL-P crossover event/tournament? Is it mandatory? I don't believe so. The cost involved in registering for that gotsport event 10/19-10/20 was $0. So unless they charge something after the fact for referees, fields, etc... I think it is included in your normal fees. I'm assuming that till we hear otherwise. A pleasant surprise for SCCL-p parents for once when it comes to money.

You're close, but not 100% correct as to where the kids came from and who put team together. It doesn't matter at this point, but BK deserves the credit for the team and the enthusiasm he brings them
