Nearly every AGC I’ve spoke with says it’s a mess this year thanks to SCCL-Premier. Losing so many teams again and the huge amount of player movement it’s almost as bad as the age mandate year. Nearly every club was expecting to jump up in level from last year and when the initial brackets were released in July there was quite an uproar.
Supposedly schedules should be out to team officials this week and schedules by Sunday though.

There's always 2-4 bottom of the bracket non-competitive teams, doesn't matter if its NL, ECNL, DA, SCCL, or Athena D. A perfory glance, looking at boys and girls U15 and U16 NL scores from 2018-2019 bares this out (based on GD). SCCL was new last year, I'm sure there has been some re-balancing since 6/1/19. But I'm sure the same will be true in 2019-2020.
honeybadger: So do y'all play out of the Fowler location? Maybe we will scrimmage over this fall break? Have we played y'all this season in a tournament? If we do play y'all, we'll have to talk on the sideline!!

slickdaddy96: who are you speaking to honeybadger? I'm confused....

southside steve: KIESS resigned
Oct 1, 2019 15:07:44 GMT -5
atl44: Where did you hear that? When did he resign?
Oct 1, 2019 15:40:52 GMT -5
southside steve: e-mail sent to me. from GA SOCCER. i assume it was sent to all members: Steve Keiss has resigned his position as President of the Georgia Soccer Board of Directors. The Georgia Soccer Board would like to thank Steve for his 12 years of service to the Board

JJQ90: SK did resign, are there more to follow?

soccerdriver4: Georgia Soccer and NL need a jump start. SCCL needs promotion/relegation, and better communication a must. Too much last minute stuff.

no news: SK is a lifetime member and still an ODP coach. Perhaps he is just moving on without anything more to it

Question: Why is soccer in Georgia and most other states fragmented and can it be fixed?
Oct 12, 2019 9:34:48 GMT -5
atlfutboldad: Why? Poor management/oversight from USYS. Can it be fixed? Doubtful, clubs don't want it fixed. It would take directive from the *weak* USSF.

SCCLparent: The more I begin to understand the soccer scene the more I realize how fragmented and diluted every league is. Why so many? Business? I doubt one is better than the other. Certainly not good for competition. Not good.

toddga675: There will be more fragmentation to come. SCCL will expand into more divisions. Georgia Soccer will counter with more leagues. USL will bring Academy divisions. ECNL will add another division. The level of fragmentation will eventually be quite amusing.

SCCLparent: Amusing for whom? How is that even any good for the sport or the kids?
Nov 19, 2019 21:51:19 GMT -5
atlfutboldad: That's terrible! ^ Unfortunate injuries happen, career-ending ones. I certainly would NOT put that on the coach, thats routine coaching and playing.

HS Teach/Coach: Well, only parents can put a stop to this nonsense of missing that many days. Club coaches DO NOT CARE! Totally agree with the parent who said missing a day maybe two, but 3 in one week is a bit excessive. If parents stop paying, clubs couldn't afford...

Realitysports: Hs soccer is a joke, perhaps that’s way ,many players committ to taking days off sense it’s a clear pathway and is worth the sacrifice I believe.
