Interesting to see what happens with NASA as I believe that multiple Concorde players have left for NASA. What age group?

CF 05 Boys DA: 6 players departed; 8 players added (all played at other clubs last year). Interestingly, zero from SSA. Bio-Banding: In DA, up to 2 players per team can play down, but they have to jump through some hoops medically to make sure everything is documented regarding underdeveloped physical maturation level. Any idea where the CF DA players went to? Seems like a lot to leave in a non-collapsing year.

Nick A the 07 DA Coach is a solid coach/trainer/person Agreed! Any player under Coach Nick will be trained in a positive, supportive environment focusing on developing all aspects of their technical/tactical game.

We played this team in the spring and the fall and they were two completely different teams. Three players had the same jersey number and there is no way all of those kids are 05s. It was actually comical for them to be passed off at such😉

Do you mean the current u13 SSA DA team is leaving or the Classic I u13 team? Or do you mean the current u12 SSA DA is leaving for u13 DA?

This is well worth a listen. They talk about a wide range of topics and I think Wynalda has a unique background as a player and also parent of kids playing youth soccer.

Selling them at their height to a European club would allow them to invest in more players, better scouting and so on. I don't think Almiron will be around for long, unfortunately.

It's been rough- lost a year of Academy, my kid is a normal-sized very technical player and was always a starter on top team but now, with late-December birthday, having trouble competing against the size and strength of boys (men?) from the older part of the age group. More than anything, he misses playing with old teammates that were the same grade.
I wonder how many kids dropped out of soccer all together after this past season when teams were shuffled and long-time teammates were separated?

We were told specifically at DA parent meeting that kids were not allowed to play other sports, not just school soccer.

They're really testing soccer players for standing vertical jump, 30 yd sprint, shuttle run. No word on track and field relay baton handoff testing. This closely resembles the U12 DA tryout last year of a club that shall remain nameless.

I have heard of several clubs that currently have U12 DA teams that have applied for the older age groups for the 2017-2018 season.
I have also heard that U12 DA will move to 11v11 for the spring season. I don't know if this is accurate or not, but know that several kids not currently playing DA have been invited to try out to be added to the roster for spring season.

This is fascinating and it looks like technology is catching up to the age-cheating many have claimed has been happening for some time now. There's a reason why Nigeria dominates at the lower age levels and at the Olympics but then is no where to be found at the upper ages and World Cup competitions.
