Maybe you can double up on games one weekend day? Or if it's a big club that has fields in multiple locations, maybe they'd consider moving to a field that's a little closer to you. That's exactly what we are going to end up doing. Doubling up and negotiating a closer venue. Crazy weather this season!

Both teams have to agree to the date and time of a reschedule so the coach must be fine with it, its the parents that usually suffer from these decisions. The coach can get there but its the working parents that have to leave work early, pick kids up early (HS doesn't have early release), etc. Welcome the world of a TM, I wouldn't have agreed to it even at my own club;) I'm going through this exact Hades at this moment. 80 miles between clubs which includes the necessity of the downtown connector. How on earth can one team get to the other team's home fields and expect to: 1. Be on time 2. Warm up 3. Get home at a reasonable hour? 4. Have the players do ANY homework? 5. Function at school the next day? And then throw in the President's Cup weekend which is now a wash in the middle of the rescheduling nightmare... HELP! :-)

I know many do not like him but Jermaine Jones was on fire. He's slow compared to the youngsters but he plays 125% all the time. That's what parentsoccerfan was saying - the 2 veterans were 'uninspired'. Apathy is another word I would use. Passion (or lack thereof) is another. It's time to change the guard. (we're all saying that in different ways)

I asked my son about it. He said - "I don't care. I'm going to know half my team and not know the other half anyway." And then he went back to playing his game. I asked if it bothered him he may be the same age group again and he said "Nope." Apparently he's good with whatever. Which is showing his maturity level is increasing. That makes me happy for him - that and he just wants to play the game he loves.

We will be on Summerour Middle turf field tonight. New field, no lights yet, so it will be quick. It's MUDDY around the entrance / exit and the parking is ... lacking. Park across the street...

Sorry to take so long to answer -
All tournaments differ in who they accept at the U8 level, and most bigger events will understand about player passes at that level. Normally, recreational teams U6 / U8 do not require player passes. Player passes help show participants are appropriately registered (insurance / safety issues...) and are AGE appropriate for their group. Some tournaments will allow copies of the Birth Certificate in lieu of player passes, but you would still need a roster from a club show your affiliation with a state group (USYS, US Club). GA Soccer is a part of USYS.
Hope this helps!

We have a young man on my son's team wearing boots that are "THAT PINK" - can't miss him, that's for sure!
My son opts for the crazy orange color. Easier to find him on the field except on of the other players on his team has boots the same color and is similar in size and shape to my son. So, speaking of old eyes, sometimes... I'm not seeing my kid. ;-)

Cleats

Can't really help you because my daughter has the opposite problem - she has to wear men's cleats because her feet are wide and women's 11. Hard to find that size in any shoe so she wears men's. She bought completely personalized cleats with gift money she received, but she isn't really growing much anymore (she's 15).
But, Lloyds has a large selection of cleats and turfs. Better than the big box places. And they have other stores to get stock from if they do not have what you need in stock. And of course the advantage of trying on...

The pairings should only be available to the TMs. Anything you can see right now is very suspect and subject to change.

But my Gunners did...ouch...Cech please! Lol! Only 37 more to go! Glad Giroud was ok. He looked unconscious for a bit. That was rough to watch - the game and that collision. Blech. Could have saved the money and played the keepers we had and been in the game.

Being a Gooner, I hope you are spot on, but I believe we need a little help down the spine. Love Girou, but we need an additional forward, don't believe he'll remain healthy ffor the long season, Not a big fan of Mertesacker, he's keen to lose a couple from a lack of positional focus. Czec was a great addition, but keeping was not an issue in the BPL, but I believe he'll add a significant amount of confidence in CL, hopefully Wenger will play him in CL, in the past he's normally played the second. Looking forward to a great year! I so agree with your Mertesacker comment. I like Giroud - he's not the best, but I always end up enjoying watching him play. He doesn't take himself so seriously and he likes to have fun. I do like Cazorla, Ozil, Alexis and BELLERIN! It IS going to be a great year to be a gunner!

I know this has gotten off topic but there's at least one unfortunate team that has to play 8:00am and 8:00pm on Saturday and 8:00am on Sunday. Glad it's not us (and cross my fingers that the schedule doesn't get changed to give us that schedule)! I'll keep the off-topic going ... So being a "tourney" (like a Carney (is that how you spell that??) but with much less fun...) There has to be a reason for that kind of schedule - I would NEVER schedule a team like that without there being a scheduling conflict with the coach or some special circumstance/request. That's awful.

I got that email as well, and my kid isn't playing SuperY this year. At all.. didn't play last year either after registering and then getting a concussion. So it's a big mailing list. Spam, basically. I've asked the guy to unsubscribe my email address 3x, and he says he cannot. are u sure its the same thing? they had a super y odp program that you would get invited based on super y performance and coach recommendations This is directly from the email I got today: "This exciting new programming is the Super Y League's progression from its former ODP program. You have been selected through the league's Player ID Tracking System based on your performance during the 2015 Super Y League season." So technically rifle should not be getting the email. I lean to mailing list...

I'm going to be jaded here - Both kids played in Super Y this seasoning with OUTSTANDING LOSING RECORDS. ;-)
My son did get picked as one of the the players of the game once (each coach selects 3 players per game for this - it's reported on the score sheets which are submitted).
So, it's possible they are using the players who are recommended by the coaches at the end of the game. Because based on the performance of both our teams this summer, there is no way we should be getting the same email you are referring to...
