I’m currently looking at the best option for my daughter (2006). We’ve declined DA invites, simply because it’s not the route my daughter wants. (High school/ basketball). Anyone have any insights on those teams below and the coaches? •Concorde ECNL •UFA Forsyth NPL •UFA Norcross SCCL •GSA ECNL Concorde Premier ECNL got a new coach this year and he's really impressive. He's trying to put together a strong team from what I've heard.

In my opinion the the UFA NPL coach is not great for player development. Some girls leave his team, leave UFA, or choose to never play for him... but of course your mileage may vary.

Both ECNL teams did well and would offer your player the best exposure going forward (if you're looking for that). Can't speak to any of the coaching though. I would normally say go watch the teams but it's too late for that now.

They will pick both teams from the same tryout.

You seem to have a personal issue with SP? One of your posts before said you "heard" he was a certain way. Now you speak as if it happened to your daughter. Which is it? I happen to know kids that play for him currently and some from the past and they love him. In fact his older girls that gone off to college come back to train with him when they're home. Does he tell it like it is? Yes He doesn't beat around the bush and some can appreciate that, or would you rather have someone tell you what YOU want to hear?

I think it doesn't matter what I want to hear - the players are what matters. Being honest with players is a good thing, but the line between honest feedback and derogatory comments is not a fine line...

I think with SP at UFA it’s both ... not either or.
YES, SP is most certainly a favorite coach with the older age groups U14 and up. He has a great reputation for college exposure and many of the older girls do love him. Family friend loved him and her college scholarship
However, he also does have a completely different reputation with the younger NPL teams U12-U14. Family friend did not enjoy the experience and left to play for another club/coach.
And the same thing can be said for every other soccer coach in the universe. LOL
TC at Tophat academy ages love him or hate him! LOL
Now back to the topic ...
UFA SCCL Norcross vs UFA NPL has been hashed to bits and pieces all over this thread so regarding Concorde or GSA ECNL
Agree with others that if you want to play ECNL then of course those two clubs are a “better choice” ... UFA is not in the ECNL league.
If you were invited and declined DA then logically Concorde “should” be an option for your daughter. But lots of movement can happen in crazy season.
GSA ECNL was ranked much higher in their conference than I expected ... The only thing I’ve ever heard from two GSA parents is it’s still a mix of “us versus them” from the GSA Dacula merger. Hopefully someone from the team can confirm or dispel that.
Good Luck and Hopefully your daughter finds a team she enjoys!

My kid has had both SP and TA for coaches. That is a big difference. I find it surprising to hear that anyone thinks SP is derogatory but I guess it's all relative.

The GSA team has potential to be a good side...still missing a couple of pieces...but tied the Concorde teams this season but has tied or lost some matches that they shouldn't have. If you are looking for a place to help grow, it could be a good option.
Concorde is tops in this group
If you are declining the DA spots, then I would look at these 2 clubs vs UFA since DA is their top spot...assume you want to play at highest level.

Concorde Premier ECNL got a new coach this year and he's really impressive. He's trying to put together a strong team from what I've heard. The coach they had last year was excellent. But he left to coach college. The new coach is a journeyman at best. Been kicking around the south side forever. I can know agree with Strikeorkeep on CF Premier ECNL coach. Southsidestan, it turns out you're dead wrong on the new coach and at least two others. He's actually very good. I've read several of your posts. You seem to have an "opinion" on way too many coaches to only be a parent. I also think you've been involved with the 06 age groups for sometime claim to have a daughter but I seriously doubt that. I smell an agenda.
