Another year, another group of players.
So unlike last season I think AU's 17s will be the class of the group by 2 or 3 goals. Their player pool in this age group is gigantic as discussed in other threads and I think their depth will overwhelm the other 2 clubs.
Concorde will be close behind them and depending upon which unit AU throws out there, could give them a game with a few ex AU players.
UFA will be the 3rd fiddle, not a good opening weekend for them.
Odd scheduling for concorde and UFA having to wait until this weekend to get a "real" game in, that's almost 6 weeks into the training season.
19s will be next.

Well UFA plays Concorde this Saturday at 3:00 on one of the new turf fields at Fowler - my best guess is one team will 3-0 after Saturday and the other will be 0-3.

AU 17s would lose to Concorde regardless of what team they put out there. I would put money on it.

Thanks for posting this. In the past USDA has always counted showcase games in the team's regular season stats/results. I thought this was a bad idea that disproportionately hurt the better team (note, in showcase games teams play against other teams with similar records but in a different conference). Thus, I am happy that cup games do not count towards regular season results. Some playoff spots come down to razor thin margins... |

Dixon had UFA ready to play. The game was close to being even. I think if they play that game 10 times player for player Concorde wins the majority, however Dixon's coaching is the X-factor. Concorde had quite a few chances that just didn't go in, but UFA had a few moments as well.
