They are definitely hinting at the blue and black stripes. This has been done before so one would think it’s intentional. Interesting observation. Assuming the announcement is in fact their partnership changing from Chelsea to another club, anyone know how they benefit from this and why other clubs don’t have similar alliances? Good use of social media as I am sure for many who follow they are all waiting for the big announcement simply out of curiousity. I can tell you one thing they will get more money from uniform changes. SSA was on the 2nd year of a 2 year cycle but given that the uniforms may not change much if they stay with Chelsea a lot of kids might opt to not buy the new ones from soccer.com (and a lot of coaches and TM's won't care and probably will suggest doing so as well) which would lose some revenue for them as I am sure they get a kickback from soccer.com. I have my doubts its an affiliation switch though. SSA signed a sponsorship deal with Yokohama Tires as well (Chelsea's sponsor) and if I'm not mistaken that contract runs past this year. I think the contract with Chelsea runs past this year as well.

I heard from someone that a whistleblower heard from someone that someone told them that someone heard SSA is going to merge with Concorde. Pretty solid information. This was discussed previously on the forum. If it is true I am not surprised. They have an alliance already. I know it was tongue in cheek, but I was just saying that we have heard that before. Would be massive. Not sure why it is necessary. Before we know it there will be just two or three huge clubs at the rate we are going.

CF needs SSA’s coaches and SSA coaches want CF’s players.

CF needs SSA’s coaches and SSA coaches want CF’s players. Why do SSA coaches think the merger would give them CF players? Best boys will still play DA then ECNL. Best girls play ECNL then NPL and SCCL. They would have the same ECNL teams and SCCL teams likely. They would get better players to play NPL perhaps. The rest of the players will still go to nearest location. If you have two ECNL teams and two SCCL and two SCCL P teams how does that change anything? Unless they go to one ECNL team, one SCCL team and keep the one NPL team I don't see how it benefits them quality wise.

If merger w/ CF, it would be mega merger. It would be interesting to see a list of the largest clubs in the SE and estimate of numbers. Also, break out the rec. program numbers as it’s a larger percentage of some clubs. NCFC is the largest I know of. At the time of their merger they claimed 20,000 members.

I would say the graphic definitely hints a merger. I just want to say if it is Concorde I want to say "I told you so" for being the first one to mention that speculation a while back!

Any other small or big club out there with any kind of rumors, tweets, emails, or posts recently?
I also noticed except with the Day 2 post all have been blue/black colors for Day 3 and Day 1. Now the Coming Soon is all Blue only. That would tell me that whatever happens SSA is going to keep their banner and whoever is joining is going to now be SSA as well.
Concorde is Black and White for colors so it could be Concorde, but who else has black kits in the metro area?

Probably not Concorde, there would be major scuttlebutt around the Comcorde camp. This is likely a smaller club.

The merger would create a pool of players, arguably better pool than what ssa has now, and then the SSA coaches with UEFA license and experience playing/coaching in the BPL would coach the top teams. That’s my thought if there is a merger. Right now with the alliance, some SSA coaches are coaching Concorde’s boy DA and ECNL teams. And I understand that SSA coaches continue to coach ECNL girls teams.

Perhaps SSA was able to reach an agreement with GA Rush that UFA never could? The colors are correct.

Well, no... I guess Rush is more of a Royal Blue and SSA looks like a darker blue.

That would still be huge. Worth a DA look I'd think. Difficult to manage players on combined teams over that distance.

SSA is taking a page out of the ATLUTD method of creating suspense with their announcements. 🤨. I find myself intrigued and refreshing their page when I step away from my office.

2 days...1 day...coming soon (11 PM yesterday). Um, shouldn't they have dropped this by now? I'm hopeful they announce a gala to drop some big news in May.

In the story of the ssa Instagram page they have a timer counting down. 2pm is when it runs out.

The black stripes was interesting though. As was the stark yellow. We will see if those even have a purpose or were arbitrary choices.

USL League 2 team coming to SSA in 2020. That is it.
To be honest with all the hype and build up to the announcement it was a little bit of a dud to 99% of their customers. Only the upper 1% of their players are going to be good enough to play in that.

That does nothing for them in regards to the other clubs in the area, all the kids who would play in it would be college age.

The press release says they will play 1 season at North Paulding High School before moving to Marathon park. I guess that means they are building a small stadium at Marathon? Pretty cool!
