I think the 07 Platinum boys will rebound next year. This spring they beat NASA , UFA, and GSA (and also GSA tied them in another game on a great last second corner piece). Took way to long for the team to gel but all the games they lost 1-2 in the fall they were winning 2-1 in the spring. They are adding a whole lot more offense for next year. I think the Spring results for that Concorde team don’t tell the full story. I know when they played UFA they had trap players that played the entire game and I heard it was the same against NASA and other teams. They won’t have that luxury going into next year. True. One player can definitely make a difference. That said, GSA will lose 1-2 top players next year and UFA & NASA are happy with their squads, but CF will upgrade half their roster. It would be a fool’s errand for those clubs to already be penciling in wins against CF 07 Platinum next year.

Anyone know anything about Renata Peixoto? Appears she’ll be coaching the girls UFA U19 03/04 SCCL P1 team.

I can tell you from both a personal and professional stance that your kid will absolutely love Renata as a coach. She will develop physically and learn the mental side of the game. This is someone who is finally getting her comeuppance but had to leave Norcross to do it. In addition to her work with laying the ground work with young teams to set them on the right track, she has also worked with the DA boys groups too. Plus in the Coaches vs U17s annual game at Norcross, she shows that she's also a baller. She's honest, tactical, engaging and is loved by both her parents and her players... p.s. She honestly didn't pay me to say all these things, but I know she'd be very embarrassed I said all this 😁⚽😁

And about her playing skills - I very much second that - U12G parents vs kids game . . . parents are winning, much to the chagrin of the girls. And sure enough, Renata puts her cleats on late in the game to play for the girls and proceeds to put on an absolute clinic. Somehow we held on, mostly due to a slightly overweight goalkeeper who played A LOT of shortstop and first base as a kid . . . . .

I believe she played collegiate at Union College and also did her Pro in Brazil(she's from Brazil). I wish I could remember more detailed info on her, it's been a while so someone might be able to fill in the gaps...

One more thing on Renata that I can pass along to anyone wanting more info about her - summer of 2019 she was in Brazil visiting her family for an extended period and went through a high-level coaching course through the Brazilian Football Confederation. There were 50 coaches who took the course and she was the only female. That impressed me.

Anyone have insight on Yusuf Jalingo and Siba Mohammed at UFA Forsyth? Yusef is young, and if I'm being honest failed at coaching girls because he often said things that he shouldn't have said(personal, beyond just being critical of play), but if you want more details you can pm me. I'd never let my daughter play for him again. He is defensive minded, I believe that's where he plays, and to try and say something positive he's out there with the kids participating in the drills(whether you like that approach or not is your call). His girls teams had very little success on the field, but maybe his coaching style is better suited for boys.

Just curious. Will there be no ECNL Composite teams this year for the oldest age group? I don't see one listed on UFA's website, and I know they had one last year for at least the girls.

High energy involved style, some love it and others feel over worked.

LD and TW seem to be moving over from AFU. My daughter never had them as coaches, but I have heard great things from their players and families.

Hi, I'm new. I found this board while googling what some alphabet leagues mean... I grew up in Europe playing girls soccer. Now I'm the mom of a daughter who plays academy.
I have a question. U12 teams can play either academy or SCCL. Can SCCL players fill in on academy teams and vice versa?

I have seen fill in players from the academy when someone is out of town or injured but it is not a common occurrence.

But what about the other way around? If the academy team is short players, can SCCL players fill in? Yes, but people on here get really upset that clubs are "bringing down better players." The only time I have seen SCCL players playing in academy games was fall break and private school spring break when clubs were scrambling to have enough players for all of the games that were scheduled.

Will be interesting to see if Norcross can field girls teams in all age groups. Agreed. There are many current Norcross girls looking to leave with the loss of Renata. They had no 03 or 05 or 2012 teams last year.

Anyone have any info on the coaches at Ambush, NTH Milton and Santos for 2010 girls? Player is not a top team player at a top club so Tophat Milton Gold team is not likely. We have played against all of these teams in the past but coaches are changing at several of them. Thanks.
