The Elite 64 website isn't showing the teams selected for 2023-2024 yet. Curious to know what clubs will be playing E64 from Georgia in the U13-U16 age groups.

I think I saw somewhere that Concorde and SSA left E64. The add was AFU. Unsure if that's boys and girls. I know that's no help unless someone confirms it. I hope that the league enforces the travel. Last year was terrible. A lot of miles for not a lot of games and non-Georgia choosing not to travel for games. In addition, the competition overall wasn't good unless it was a showcase-- but again -- you had to travel out of state.

From schedules posted online, boy's have AFU, UFA and CF listed. Girl's have AFU and UFA. This is not much Atl Metro representation. Teams in MLS Next might not have the option. Top ECNL players may not likely to be interested.

FC Prime has now dropped out and AFU is the only Atlanta team on the girls side Well there is the East Atlanta Dutch Lions which is the RYSA club with the influx of cash. It will be interesting to see if that increases the quality of the players. There was a time when RYSA had several Athena A teams, but lately they have been very weak. The travel is not looking sensible. Orlando area team goes to Boca to play “home” game. It is not looking organized well. Very RPL-like. The fact that FC Prime adds a team this season and then drops it…very bad look. Frankly Team Boca is very good and they have some coaches who need to get other clubs on board with improving the league. South Florida is a disaster for those kids who are very strong but not ECNL/GA level or those elite ones who are but their parents can’t fight that horrible traffic to get them to an ECNL/GA team. If you live in south Miami you cannot get to Weston FC or FC Prime ECNL. The traffic would be worse than Peachtree City to UFA. These kids have no options if they don’t like their coach or their team or the level they are at they have little choice to be seen. Elite 64 had a good idea. It just is not executed well and not marketed well in some areas and they are fighting an uphill battle against ECNL/GA/MLS Next leagues and their lower tiers. Frankly they should just combine NL with Elite 64 and allow the club based leagues to just compete against the earned teams. Have smaller regions with cross over games to keep travel down to 6 hour drives or less. They DID combine the playoff pathway, but it seems a little too late for many of these kids. It initially looked like they had improved it a little from last year, but now I think it did not. Could have been decent if UFA and SSA had girls teams in it but they bolted to another “meh” league.

The teams I listed were listed on the E64 website. Can you share the link? I do not see a list of teams for 2023-2024. All I see is teams for 2022-2023 and then at the bottom, it lists teams added for 2023-2024. It does not say anything about the teams from last year returning. I am fairly certain that Concorde and SSA are not returning on the boys side. Click on the dropdown menus below to see the inaugural boys clubs and girls clubs that make up the Elite 64.
