What an embarrassment for the AFC lightning tournament. 3 days out and still no published schedule. If you don't have the time or resources to properly plan a tournament then don't run it. It's not exactly close for a majority of the clubs that play and families have to plan.

I am able to see a preview of our teams schedule, but that may be because I’m our team manager. |

Team managers have the schedule and have had them since the end of last week. Schedules are not visible online. They really should fix that.

Correct the team manager of my son's AFC team has had the games for a while. It seems that all Team Managers in Sincsports have access to see them but no one else can see it. So I would ask your Team Manager and Coach to share the schedule with you all.

If they aren’t then your TM needs to communicate better with your team. I DO AGREE that the tournament should also publish it for all to see, but your TM or Coach need to communicate better as well. |

But our TM did send us a tentative schedule before the 'final' was posted on the tournament website. My TM sending out the schedule when they had access to it did help . . . but it still made me hesitate to make final plans (like hotel rooms . . I live on the North side of ATL).  |

It is what it is because the GA Youth soccer industrial complex (and US as well) is the only place to go. We really don't have a choice. I know there is supposed to be another tournament that starts this weekend in Conyers and the schedules and teams list haven’t been released yet. Shouldn’t the bare minimum be to get the schedules out at least two weeks in advance to help families with logistics?
As the parent of a young Academy player, I’m looking forward to all the incompetence to come. 😐

Back then all of the teams that she was on at two different clubs did a minimum of 2 preseason and 2 postseason tournaments. So that was about 8 tournaments per year. Now it seems that they do 1 preseason and 1 postseason so 4 per year in the younger ages. So maybe we are not paying for it as much as you think. Dropping tournaments in half is a big drop in money. Most tournaments have smaller divisions and fewer divisions compared to my older one. A big tourney like Tophat or Concorde would have 5 divisions with 8 teams each on the girls’ side. It is not like that anymore. |

Well in fairness your kid is also on a pretty high level team. Most 2nd team and below type teams maybe aren't doing as much. I don't see it either. I think I am still paying more for the same amount of tournaments. The tournaments fees have just gone up astronomically since the beginning of my journey. |

Speaking of TopHat. This weekend I had a conversation with a former TopHat parent that stated, TH is subscribing to a flat upfront coaching fee(s) for tournament and showcase travel/per diem for their GA teams. I don’t want to quote that costs but can anyone confirm this?
