Some how I found myself watching the NWSL game -- San Diego vs Reign -- u G L y
not very impressive. yikes. most national team players also didn't look good either. Just a very poorly played game in my opinion. Reign scored one of the prettiest luckiest goals you will ever see. A intended cross when side net, it was crazy.
San Diego then refused to play with an urgency and I don't think Morgan had a single quality touch all game.
I'd take FSU over both teams by 2 goals........

Some of the NWSL teams don’t play pretty soccer (however some have pretty decent styles) but I’m pretty confident any one of them would beat any college team by 5 or 6 goals at least.

Some of the NWSL teams don’t play pretty soccer (however some have pretty decent styles) but I’m pretty confident any one of them would beat any college team by 5 or 6 goals at least. I watched both semifinals (at least parts of both) live and both games were ugly. That being said a lot of college games I have watched this season look ugly too. I have wondered if it was just because I watched the Women’s World Cup and it was just by comparison, kind of like when I used to watch my older kid play and then my younger one right after. I feel like I have seen a shift recently with some teams in college playing more direct and less possession. Problem is they are not being successful with these long balls and it ends up looking like ping pong. Ugh! Several matches in both college and pro I have counted passes and rarely get to more than 3 before they lose possession. If I am more than three it is because the center backs pass it back and forth. I really thought seeing players like Rose Lavelle on the national team would inspire more girls to play creatively and more coaches to look for that creativity, but doesn’t seem like it. Sad. Very sad.

Alex Morgan needs to retire.
Her style of play isn't cohesive with the newer players coming up.

The more viewing of the women's game, the more you see it. When there were a limited number of games, this wasn't noticed as the excitement (olympics and world cup finals) was the discussion. Now the viewing of games brings scrutiny. It is getting obvious.
