Is anybody taking the headband idea in? They could pass it up to USYS and USSF.

I saw this on Facebook from Georgia Storm:
Happy Valentines GS families, but more importantly thank you. Yesterday we learned that GS has officially grown into one of Georgia Soccer's larger Academy & Select programs. Two years ago on this day GS didn't even exist as an idea. But a year and half into building a new club, we are simply astounded at the overwhelming support and will power of our families to propel GS into the limelight of Georgia Soccer. You are the reason we are successful and it is your support that is driving us forward. Thank you and have a blessed day!
-GS Staff
Were there any surprises with gains or losses in the numbers of players per club that were presented at the meeting? Which rule changes were accepted? Was there a lot of discussion about the age group mandate?

Georgia Soccer came to our club and did a short presentation yesterday. Nothing new was really learned...they did say that U15's will be offered a spring season for those players that are not in HS yet. Calendar age mandate will start this fall but fields mandate i think they said 2017---apparently its a big issue in some states to get compliant.
He did say that schedules for Select will be out on Tuesday

Anyone make it to UFA Town Hall last night? Me! Georgia Soccer did first half of meeting...the 2nd half was UFA. They gave overview of how they will handle age mandate and tryouts, there was a Q&A after.

We had one at Concorde....
No wait, no we didnt... I'll just wait until end of season and get my information from other parents who have no clue like I do.
Sure would be nice to have a club that communicates. Oh wait they did. Please sign up for Super Y. No questions answered like... can they play if they are selected for DA? Who are the coaches?
Anyways, have a good day.

Now that you are fully paid up for the year, Concorde doesn't need anything else from ya! They have your money in hand.

I was up at Fowler last night and totally forgot about the Town hall. Will they be providing a summary document to folks with some of the key points and Qs and As?

Will tryouts at UFA be any different then they normally are? They basically explained that they will set up the tryouts based on birth year and every kid will try out with their birth year. There will be something at the time of tryouts where you will let them know either at time of sign up or at registration that you would like to have your kid play up and coaches will be aware of this. Halfway thru if they think you are a good candidate they will send you to tryout with the older kids. Then its up to that coach to keep you at those tryouts or send you back to your age group. There was talks of having age group combines within the club to start getting an idea of how the teams will shape up, but they are not sure if they will be able to do it or not...still working on it. They said they have an idea of who the coaches will be but are not sharing that information. They said that some coaches will be known before tho and theyre watching the age groups and making notes. They said that tryouts dates have not been set yet...Atl United is setting up their tryouts first, once those dates are out, GaUnited will do their tryouts dates and then UFA...this will probably be the same way that everyone will do it. This will aid to help the process go smoother so that kids know if they made DA or not and should attend reg club tryouts...since in the past they were all around the same time

I dont know? maybe a general document will be posted online. But the majority of questions were made by the parents were very specific to them so I doubt that Q&A will be sent out.

Maybe since that coach is so amazing he/she could be persuaded in jumping to a club that will support him and his players.

I'll be waiting on C. Fire. Of course, based on current communication my expectation level is not very high.
