Yea, I am not claiming the USSF is consistent in their message or that they are the sharpest tools in the shed. Queen April did intimate there would be some differences from BDAP but did not provide details. They did indicate that this HS thing will expire for 2021-2022 season. But there are still the DPs. The main takeaway for me is that regardless of the initiative, the USSF cannot seem to manage a well-reasoned rollout. It is quite clear they are making these things up as they go along.

I understand the rationale "slightly" for a club that fully funds there DA program, given the $$$ spend and invest in each kid. But given my earlier post there is clearly is alot to gain from playing high school soccer especially for a keeper to get field time and more games even at keeper in.

And the competition continues. ECNL announces another new member club that says they are only doing ECNL, not GDA. This looks to be a very good club from Nebraska. Essentially all of their top teams are ranked top 50 nationally by a number of ranking sites. That is pretty robust regardless what you think of rankings. So ECNL are expanding their footprint. But I also fully expect a few things to happen: (1) they get to enough clubs so they can have two divisions with promotion/relegation and/or (2) they are going to keep the same type of structure they have now, with roughly the same number of clubs, but will start replacing clubs that have GDA where the possibility those clubs can compete reasonably in two top leagues simultaneously is very low. Elite Girls Academy from Omaha joins ECNL Starting 2017-2018

Makes ya wonder if they plan to add more teams to that midwest foot print also (with only Kansas city being near by)

I will the knuckleheads at USSF would put out a defined hierarchy that shows what is the top of the apex and the different levels down. Much like in college or soccer leagues... Div 1(DA/ECNL), Div 2(RPL/SRPL, ...etc
On a separate note, at what age will the GDA begin - U12 also?
