UFA doesn't charge $300, Forsyth county does, each location has a different price for that (Gwinnett $180), and there are no other fees for non residents. Even the rec centers will charge you an out of county fee, if you don't want to pay it, then stay in your county. If CF is not charging out of county fees is because their county doesn't charge them anything...this money is supposed to go back towards their parks and fields and CF is not known for having the best fields..... $300 for forsyth county should be included in fees. Other clubs include whatever they pay the county into the fees, not sure why UFA is different with the OOC thing....Its all GA soccer and for the good of the state/country. All I'm saying is that these high costs are driving away a potential great players. I am not advocating people to/not to go to UFA or CF. just stating my opinion with the facts. Both clubs are okay, however neither is so special for someone to drive 25 miles or more to get there especially when you would get charged an extra $300 for being OOC. I agree with you CF have bad field options, not sure how they are still around....Let's see how long they can sustain without fields and AB (Falcons/AU) Anyway, no need to go back and forth about this issue. All I'm saying is soccer is already expensive enough, no need to add extra. just build that fee into total cost. I'm not trying to tell you all how to run your clubs, just suggestions! No need to get personal..... we all we got. each one teach one and how would you do that? so if I'm in county and fees are $1500 but someone from out of county comes in also pays $1500 is the club really only charging them $1200 because they have to send the other money to the county? As a business, how is this beneficial to the club? Or as a resident is the fee really only $1200 but I'm having to pay an extra $300 that is not even going back to the county. I'm not saying that fees across the board are not expensive, but unfortunately this is a problem at all the big clubs. They all have to stay around the same amount in order not to lose players in masses. In all honestly I don't think any club is special for me to drive 25 miles or more to get there...with the exception of AU because its free.

I'm not sure how the other clubs are able to do this but its being done....simply adopt that method if it makes sense. example You stated that UFA branch in Gwinnett has a county fee for non-residents ($180, I think) meanwhile DSC or GSA don't add county fee for non-residents. How is that possible for them and not UFA? ....We probably have experts on this forum that can answer that question.....I would have to know a lot of variables that I am not privy to in order to find a good solution for the dilemma you presented. I do know that it can be done . Where there is a will there is a way....This is USA!!! Unfortunately Big clubs aren't willing to sacrifice when it comes down to costs. You are right, across the board, It's turning into a crisis, its already unaffordable for the struggling families. Klinsman spoke on this at one point before he was fired.

GSA doesn't rent county fields, they own their fields. I can't answer your question about Dacula.

Meant to reply to UFA Milton questions but I think I just quoted them. I don't think UFA Milton think has much of a girls academy program, if any. If you are close to UFA Milton and have a rising u10 (08) or u11 (07) girl, I'd take her to Roswell Santos. Their current u10s (07s) may be the top team in the state at that age group and their current u9s (08s) aren't bad either. I would have to disagree about Santos, its not a very competitive club, they just don't have the depth and all good players eventually leave. They will also be competing this weekend at the Extreme Cup, so you should check them out as well. I don't have a kid that age so I have never seen them play. Like most small/mid-sized clubs, Santos has some strong age groups and some weaker ones. For the most part, in most age groups they are going to be stronger than UFA Milton but weaker than UFA Forsyth. However, in the two age groups I mentioned 07 and 08 Girls, because the question was about Girls Academy, the Santos teams as good if not better than UFA Forsyth as well (07s are definitely better - as I menitoned maybe the top 07 girls in the state). Santos fields are very close to UFA Milton, so personally think they would be a better option in terms of level of play, but UFA Forsyth would be a better option than Santos in most (but not all) age groups if the location is not an issue. Personally I would make location one of the priorities for choosing a club through Academy though. Maybe make an exception if team/age group at local club is very low level or coaching isn't good.
