Even when he has a match where he seems uninvolved BFW is creating havoc with his runs. And he still knows how to find back of net. As long as he is fit, for USWNT, I would be playing him over other guys almost every time.

Many thumbs up for Bobby Wood. He is a clutch player and a forward who is willing to make endless runs and doesn't sit on his butt every time he gets fouled like Dempsey seems to.
But, man oh man, the past two games have been SOOOOOO painful to watch. The midfield has been awful and I think Arena got his tactics all wrong for both games but especially the Costa Rica game. The Honduras game was complicated by the heat and the fact that the grass was nearly cow pasture length.

That sequence leading to Wood goal was awesome. The Wood recovery and drive to midfield. The tackle and strip by Green after Wood lost ball. The pass by Green to Weah. The run by Wood. The ball from Weah to Wood. The Wood finish.
That is the way to bring the Wood.
That being said, Colombia then decided to get serious. USMNT missing key midfielders obviously hurt.

I missed the entire game and forgot to record.
I'm loosing respect for Earnie Stewart by the second - the fact that we still don't have a coach is embarrassing....

It was great seeing Weah and Wood work together for that goal. Woooooood wanted that goal just a little bit more than the Colombian defending him. Talking about defending.... Our back line was atrocious. Especially on the left side. What made it even worse was the fact that our CBs didn't adjust to counteract the porous holes on our left side.

Not to mention USMNT holding mid (that would be Michael Bradley who has aged precipitously) letting Colombia striker (Falcao) run right by him like he was standing still to score the 3rd goal. Of course, that was after the LB terrible positioning let ball be collected and played back to center of pitch. Here is that one. Watch Bradley: Falcao goal while Bradley jogs (although that might be his sprint now)
Bradley used to boss midfield for USMNT when he played for Roma. This is sad to see.

You could see Bobby’s goal coming when he crossed midfield. Weah placed the ball perfectly in front of him.
I used to dislike when people said MB was on the team because of his father. He was legitimately good. I understand coming “home” (to Canada and huge income tax) for a big paycheck but I think his career has declined ever since. I wish he had stayed in Serie A. At this point, I think we need to let the kids play. He should retire from international play.
