Does anyone know when it starts and ends? It is based on location. Some take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. They also have different times of the day. For more information and/or to sign up, follow the link: atlutd.leagueapps.com/events |

Is the keeper training in the RDS? I looked at the web site and couldn’t find anything saying one way or another. Their video only shows what look like a lesson with kids 7-9 years old doing field player training. As far as I know, there is no specific RDS goalie training. Within the RDS training sessions, they use the small Pugg goals, so I don't think they factor in goalies. The only goalie training i'm aware of is with the Summer Camps. |

The U12 MLS Generation Adidas Cup (GA Cup) is being hosted locally by AU. For the second year, the U-12 division of the Generation adidas Cup will be played over Thanksgiving weekend. The Colorado Rapids captured the title last year in Atlanta. This year's tournament will be played from Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground in Marietta, Ga. It will feature MLS teams and MLS affiliate team also. If you have time, I would say go support the youngsters. We were out there yesterday watching some of the games. LAFC’s U11 team playing in the affiliate group was outstanding. RedBulls looks very very strong in the U12 group. They have 5 kids who actually play up with the U13s. They absolutely demolished Nashville SC 6-0 and Minnesota United 7-1. Best foot skill and technical aptitude that I have seen at this age. They play FC Dallas today and that should be a tight game

My son’s best friend is the starting outside back for RedBulls, so I am admittedly biased. They were teammates up in NY for FC Westchester. The game tonight with LAFC was exceptional. LAFC’s team speed is second to none and that is saying something because RedBulls can fly as well. The technical skill exhibited by these kids was unreal. I would pay money to watch RedBulls #9 play...he’s that good.

A few thoughts: The goalie for AU was fantastic. So fluid and so confident attacking high crosses. He literally made it look easy. It was clear that he was the best goalie that I saw with only the NYRB goalie and the Minnesota United goalie being competitive. He really deserved the award that he got. The young man who earned MVP honors for LAFC was stellar in the semis but a non factor in the finals. I will say this, that young man can flat out fly. I liked both the center mids for LAFC, Union and NYRB and thought the AU striker was dangerous throughout the consolation game. For my money though, #9 for NYRB is the player to watch. Despite his diminutive size, he was leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. This kid should be playing overseas. He is truly a special talent. Reminds me so much of youth legend Appie Nouri of Ajax. There is a reason why he dominates U13 as a U12.
