They OVER reported. The REAL was lower. What are YOU talking about? Sigh. When you swap plot points (the higher May number with the lower April number), it changes the curve and therefore the inferences that are drawn from it. The AJC article states that DPH is understaffed and is apolitical, as was my post. The governor's office apologized for the error and said it wouldn't happen again.

The bigger issue is , no matter what the numbers say is just blocking our view of the main thing:
1) Very very very few deaths per a population 2). Almost half of all deaths are in NY/NJ and they had some of the biggest draconian shutdown measures . And about 30% of those were in nursing homes where Cuomo said they put many infected because as he stated ( and I watched the video of him saying this) “ many of the elderly are going to die anyway”. Fla and Texas have some of the lowest deaths per capita and they did much less draconian measures
We aren’t seeing the forest for the trees. The media has us debating this number vs that number , meanwhile for anyone under 65-70, CV19 poses extremely small risk of critical danger.

If you're uncomfortable going out in the world, stay home. FFS, leave the rest of us to it... get busy living or get busy dying.

Cuomo said they put many infected because as he stated ( and I watched the video of him saying this) “ many of the elderly are going to die anyway”. Please share this video clip. Here it is. Cuomo's OWN March 25 executive order forced nursing homes to take them in even though the ship sitting off shore was never used for these people. He chose to put them in these nursing homes--then later said it was the law. Yes, his own law. Of course, even though those are the facts, you won't like it because it's Fox News that actually shows it. Anyway, from the 5:13 mark to the 7:00 mark: tv.youtube.com/watch/f7TPEo6QejA?vpp=2AEA&vp=0gEEEgIwBA%3D%3DArticle from a local NY TV station: cbs6albany.com/news/coronavirus/governor-cuomo-walks-back-comments-on-nursing-home-deaths-calls-seniors-a-top-priorityRegardless how you feel, Fla and Tex Govs chose to isolate their elderly--and many less deaths. NY chose to increase CV19 infected elderly with other elderly, and their elderly deaths exploded. It's not politics, it's facts.

Michael Jordan played NBA finals and everyone knew a flu virus and put up 40 points. Its debatable but less likely he would do that without killing himself and possibly others if it were COVID-19. Actually Jordan had food poisoning, if you watched the last dance this weekend he said he ordered a pizza to his hotel in Utah and started throwing up a couple hours later. (Note i'm in the Covid is not the flu camp, just the fact that you can have and spread it for weeks before symptoms makes it worse). We do have to get on with it at some point, but being diligent has to be part of it. You are right it was really food poisoning. I meant to write flu-like symptoms. You are also quite right about getting things going ASAP and I appreciate the last comment in your statement, that is the key.

This thread... 🙌 There was a great observation in a thread where I was saying, ‘don’t lump all Tophat folks into the arrogance basket.’ A member nailed it when they said, (paraphrasing) ‘People are bored stuck at home, so they’re taking shots at everyone and everything. It’ll lessen once soccer, other sports, work, and life start up again.’

Its a choice how one will intelligently use social distancing and the recommended guidelines by CDC on how they will interact with people along with how and when they will let their son or daughter get back to playing soccer in a group setting. I am going to give you my personal experience with covid . We have 11 family members who contracted the virus. 3 have DIED. One that has died contracted it from her daughter, who gave it to both of her kids, and her brother who then gave it to his wife, son and mother. It is believed She unknowingly contracted the disease from a patient she was taking care of that was thought to have the flu. Yesterday my aunt died after being on a respirator for over two weeks. I am not saying this to scare but I think those who have witnessed first hand the effects of this disease are probably more hesitant with premature assimilation than others. PATIENCE I believe will be critical in overcoming this disease. Whatever the choice I hope and PRAY for everyone's safety and good health.

Academy age will remain GA Soccer ECNL/SCCL doesn't begin until at least u12 or u13 Please quit going around here making blanket statements like this. State the club your kid is in and state what they are doing. You are wrong on no Academy aged kids being able to register with US Club Soccer. We have already gone through this in the other post. SSA registered all their academy aged teams with US Club Soccer membership not GA Soccer membership. You do realize that US Club Soccer has a database just like GA Soccer and it produces a player pass for the player? They don't have to be in SCCL or any other US Club league. Just like Academy teams don't get registered in any division or league in GA soccer. They do all their own in house scheduling but the player pass still gets produced by GA soccer. The same thing can be achieved registering with us club soccer also and that is what SSA did. In fact there is a whole different website and system for scheduling and divisions for SCCL and it isn't on US Club Soccer's site. SCCL is just affiliated with US Club Soccer. You can make any team be affiliated with us club soccer as long as you follow their rules. honest question: what league do these U9-U12 US Club registered kids play in?

I'm not sure what the confusion is. Think of GA Soccer and US Club Soccer as two different organizations doing exactly the same thing. A club can choose to register their kids and teams under US Club Soccer or GA Soccer. Each will give a player pass and each have their own set of rules. Academy age kids do not have to be in some league to be a member of GA Soccer or US Club Soccer.

Tophat just moved their tryouts up a week. Check their website. Was sent to players on the 13th. It gives them time to work with the counties, local municipalities, or even change their minds if they need to. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if that date changes again.

Tophat just moved their tryouts up a week. Check their website. I think that is old. The older girls should be June 7-10. I think the younger girls are June 1-3. They have not announce where and what time. If you have registered for tryouts you will receive an email with the information
