on the girls side at NTH ... the higher up teams have technical drills incorporated in their warm ups. Unfortunately that gets lost the lower you go. Not true at all, depends on the coach at NTH What higher up team doesn't?

My posts was in regards to your comment that lower level teams don't work on technical skills, my response was depends on the coach, there are a number of NTH Navy and White teams that could beat the top team at a number of clubs.

I was really speaking of when they leave academy and head to select. When the 06s transitioned from academy to select ... half of the navy and half of the white ended up on a team where technical was no longer addressed during "work hours" ... it showed when playing against some teams. The blue team experienced similar. There are some select coaches that take care of their players technically. I'll point out Rivah specifically saying he spends time on technical no matter the age or playing level of his players.

Just saw a U16 Navy practice (2nd to highest team) that involved the girls doing a set of footwork combos for at least 10 mins of practice intertwined with a passing drill ... let some of these coaches tell it ... that's supposed to be reserved for outside of team practice ... looked productive to me ...

All ages (U13 - U19) of TH GA Gold teams do some footwork/skill/ball mastery for at least 10 to 15 minutes every practice.

I said that previously in this chat about the higher teams but also the team I was referencing is Navy. The warmup should be the same for all teams.
