Last several years we have spent our Thanksgivings away from family at Disney. I understand at U15 we will now be in disney between Christmas and New Year. Happy to have Thanksgiving back...........

I remember back when we had to list the number of all our ODP players on our application to Disney. Wonder whether that is still the order of the day?

I remember back when we had to list the number of all our ODP players on our application to Disney. Wonder whether that is still the order of the day? why do they need to know that? Because we requested the most competitive bracket - previous club - and we had not played Disney before.

Got this tonight
Coach / Manager / Contact:
We were hoping to have all teams notified of their status by today but unfortunately with the high volume of applications for the Junior Showcase, Boys Showcase and the Girls Showcase events we are not able to notify all the teams of their status for the subject event.
We promise that all teams will be notified on or before Wednesday September 17th if they are Accepted, Wait Listed or Declined.
We do appreciate your patience.

As noted above by soccergator, this is the last thing the tournament organizers said: "We promise that all teams will be notified on or before Wednesday September 17th if they are Accepted, Wait Listed or Declined." We have yet to hear anything, but I guess this means information is imminent!

man, sitting and playing the waiting game....... our teams should be ok, but you never know...
we have instances in the past where a team that won it the prior year, was not accepted the next year. obviously it was a mistake that was corrected, but it happens.

Agree... The top 4 for sure would make it in. I heard the same about the new central team... Should be interesting on how all the brackets will be set. Going to be great for the boys to play top level teams all weekend long. Can't wait to watch some good match ups.

our team has played top clubs now from north carolina, tenn, alabama, south carolina and now georgia. we've only played i think 1 florida team and that was at u9, so haven't seen much of them. our top 2 to 3 teams from georgia for sure play better quality soccer and don't just rely on size. we did play a team from north carolina, triangle futbol club. their team was as good as it gets at this age. played great soccer, possession, talented group and had depth. one thing i noticed for sure, is this is the age where you start to see keepers stand out, and its obvious who does and doesn't have a full time keeper. i'm assuming the competition at disney will be more similar to the north carolina team. just quality!

Yep GA has some of the best players and coaching for sure. TFCA is a strong team/club (I think a good DA as well). Tampa has a strong team at this age group and south fl as well. Its going to be tough battles for sure.
Teams have a huge advantage in having a full time keeper. I see it as well and you’re right, you can see who is full and who is not.
More and more parents are getting more "specialized" training for their youngster. This has been in the past a huge oversight by the clubs.
As a parent, you of course you want the best for your child. The keeper position is the most complex of all. He/She must do regular team training and be at the same level as the other field players. At the same time learn this new “specialized” position. Wow that’s a lot for a 10/11 year old and my hat goes out to the player.

Brazil??? Nice! Too many or not enough from Ga? Havent looked at list 11 u11 teams. just didn't expect that many. but i guess, its predominately georgia and florida teams that apply. surprised no alabama, arkansas, etc or other south eastern teams. no south carolina teams.

I haven't checked our list out yet but it does suck sometimes to go to Orlando to play the same teams we play at home
