No - NASA canceled. Premier agreed to play Platinum on Sunday to make up an earlier cancellation. Oh so it was NASA that canceled on Platinum because NASA didn’t want to play them on a days rest? Aren’t these kids 13-14 years old? Are these clubs really pulling out these excuses? I don’t know the particulars but I know many teams have players out on quarantine and the heat is a factor with few subs, so no big deal.

Play on Sunday with a Sat game under each of our belts or play on Sunday after both having a rest day. Not sure what your reference of their age has to do with anything. All of these teams go pretty hard and having a days rest would most certainly be an advantage in this case.

If you know other ECNL age groups as well, please let us know, as I don’t think we have a good source of info on this forum to the Alabama and Tennessee teams. Gotcha! NASA vs CF Premier Saturday 05 NASA 3 CF Premier 2 06 NASA 4 CF Premier 0 07 NASA 3 CF Premier 0 Any other scores? NASA 04/03 also won. So far a clean sweep for NASA over CF Premier. Still don’t understand why CF has 2 ECNL teams.

CF has the talent for 2 teams but they don't have the leadership to manage the talent for 2 teams. Right now, you have Platinum teams carrying far too many players that can't even suit up for a game day 18. Those players should be playing Premier. There's enough talent to form 2 teams that would be competitive with any team in the conference. But you have leadership with egos that can't have a "2nd team" beating their first or looking better in the standings. So they sabotage those teams rather than building. (And I won't even get into how short-sighted that is... smarter leadership would see how good it would be to have both teams stronger.) That lack of leadership and short-sightedness has been going on for a while. For evidence, all you have to do is look across NASA, UFA, GSA and see all the former CF players -from both Platinum and Premier- who are now starters or significant pieces for those teams. Those players and families left due to Concorde's incompetence from it's leadership. Not only does CF have the talent now for two teams, imagine if those players had stayed... So long story long... they should have two teams. But unless something changes at leadership and they actually listen to input from some of their quality coaches (some of which left) - they may not have two teams much longer. (And when that happens, I'm willing to bet quite a few of those "second" team players will go to other clubs and replace players to become starters and significant pieces...)

Respectfully I don’t see if that way. IMO they are making a calculation that they can either have 1 very strong team that competes for a divisional title or they can have 2 average teams. They don’t have 20-25+ strong kids that they can spread evenly across 2 teams. And the argument about losing players to other top clubs - that is the same for every club every year.

With respect to CF, that may have been the case years ago, but I don’t think it’s true anymore. As you mentioned, CF leadership didn’t listen to their parents over the years who warned them about one coach who was terrible at youth development (maybe ok with older kids?), retained this particular coach and lost a large number of talented kids to teams all over the city. In one class alone, i count at least 7 former CF kids playing ECNL for two of the top rated clubs. If you count kids who left for MLS Next, it’s over 12.

Heard a similar ““competitive disadvantage” cancellation happened last weekend with CESA - CF Premier. CESA played Saturday, CF premier did not play Saturday due to other team having COVID, CESA requested and was granted a cancellation by ECNL.
So my question... are teams that have two games in a weekend always scheduled against other teams that also have two games?
If so, and if necessary for rescheduled games, u15+ teams May have a hard time finding “matching” schedules to play makeup games in a compressed fall season.

Yeah. They were ok. I would say maybe 1 could have gone to D1 but for sure the rest D2/3.
What i thought was cool was this clubs owners (they have several clubs in the USA) and comprised with players that missed on recruitment (grades, financial other reasons) and still are NCAA eligible and are not full time so playing doesnt count as a red shirt year. They help kids get recruited to College. They also send kids to the U23 Everton academy.
I talked with the owner during the game and was refreshing of how passionate he was on helping the players.
Augusta also plays in Carolina league as well. This way everyone plays throughout the season and gets looks. (flexible)

AU U19 beat U23 Jamaica All Stars 2-1. Pretty cool Jason Longshore was play by play. Next up Atletico Atlanta. They tied ATLUTD 2 in a friendly earlier in the year and won the National Championship in Cali two years ago. Pretty cool to see the hype this league has so far UPSL. twitter.com/upslsoccer

Grant it CESA are the national champs, but does anyone know what’s going on with the UFA ECNL 06 boys? It seems the team has been declining over the last few years.
