I am originally from Akron, Ohio and heard all about Caleb Porter when he coached at Akron U. I took an interest and watched MANY of their games. Outstanding possession soccer.. "attacking" possession soccer is what Porter called it.
In his first MLS season, Porter tried to play the same way. But he didn't have the players.
Well, he has had the wheel for a few seasons now, and tonight, like the last 2 seasons.. The Timbers constantly just hoof the ball up the field. 9/10 times it is a turnover. Such a waste..so disappointed.

Yeah that too. It was just like last year, in reverse, when Timbers came back and tied in extra time against Galaxy.

admit, i turned it on towards the end of the game and the last few minutes were definitely entertaining.
the NYFC game on earlier was probably better played though and some better soccer for sure.
