It may be a little early but don't like what I see on the forecast all next week. Tuesday looks like it will be ok but rest week....
Does the State set rain out dates for all clubs?
Cheers, J4K

The state mandates the date when tryouts can start but each club determines what days and times they choose to hold their tryouts.

Oh my goodness like we haven't had ENOUGH with the wet washout rain rescheduling in Georgia this spring. I assume clubs must have some sort of contingency plan? You mentioned GA soccer sets the earliest date clubs can start tryouts .... so what exactly are all the dates that are "regulated" by GA soccer. And does anyone have any "historical" perspective ... "I remember x club did this when it rained cats and dogs back in the day"

I can't remember a year when at least one day of tryouts wasn't a rain out. A couple of years ago at Metro North, those back fields were completely under water for two of the days we had tryouts - NASA ended up holding the final day on a Saturday. Some clubs will go through the weekend or into the week(s) following depending on how many kids/spots there are. And there's always the "we didn't make the team we wanted' scramble to go do a private try out before a team camp.

should make for an interesting week. amazingingly the past 4 years I think we've been lucky with no rain at tryouts, just heat... doesn't look good! you better tryout the first night at the place you want to play!! I expect most will offer 4th nights if necessary. i'm still surprised how many coaches are truly evaluating players from their own clubs at tryouts....

This weather has been brutal! It looks like a coin flip for the rain chances next week. My lawn appreciates the rain, but my kids just want to play soccer so if it does rain, please no lightning or torrential downpours!!
