I'm trying to gather as much information on player passes and the usage of them in regards to tournaments and competition as I can. In other states I've seen where player passes can be used to bring on guest players to rec teams. Which allows that rec team to enter certain select tournaments. I can't find anywhere on the Georgia website where a coach can download or print off player passes. Obviously if I'm wrong about that correct me. If I'm right please help me out with with figuring out the resources that I need to get some of these rec teams into more competitive situations. In other states (Washington Oregon Colorado) they are allowing for U8 and older Teams to utilize player passes to allow them in the tournaments and into competition in a more inclusive way.
Any other resources (beside player passes) I would need would be appreciated (We will only be starting it out by going to instate tournaments). If it doesn't seem like it would be allowed under Georgia rules please tell me. I have have been told by Columbus and Fort Benning soccer that they utilize there player passes in a very similar way to bring better competition to rec players without leaving the guidelines of the REC organizations.
Our county is working on increasing the level of competition our program provides (although it doesn't seem that they know how to) to enhance the player development and increase passion for our league (a lot of our kids leave to Columbus at U10 for development and competition). So I am Passionately trying to come up with some options any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with recreational side and just assumed you had player passes for your kids as well?
The player passes are printed by the club in the ADG website once kids are registered with GA soccer.
Is your club affiliated with GA soccer?

Coaches/parents can't print them?does it have to be a rep from the club?

No, coaches and parents are not supposed to print them. Your team manager has access to ADG and uploads the kids pictures and then your club registrar prints them out and hands them out to the teams. Theyre printed on a special paper.
There are rec tournaments out there that you can enter.

From what I am told if I put together a team of rec players by adding them on a normal rec team from another rec team as guests (with player cards) I can also enter some medium and low level select tournaments.

Sorry to take so long to answer -
All tournaments differ in who they accept at the U8 level, and most bigger events will understand about player passes at that level. Normally, recreational teams U6 / U8 do not require player passes. Player passes help show participants are appropriately registered (insurance / safety issues...) and are AGE appropriate for their group. Some tournaments will allow copies of the Birth Certificate in lieu of player passes, but you would still need a roster from a club show your affiliation with a state group (USYS, US Club). GA Soccer is a part of USYS.
Hope this helps!
