Sad, since planting bermuda grass on a prepared drain field (like turf gets)... would allow much the same ability to stand up to lots of rain.
Turf is purely an economic move, and not good for playing. If it is not inside a building, I Hate the stuff.

I'll just say this much: I coach football and lacrosse at the same park that my kids play soccer. We are on turf. Soccer is on grass. My side of the park is always practicing and playing games. Very rarely do we get cancelled due to severe weather. Soccer is, well...

Whats not good for playing is not playing at all lol Artificial turf is a necessity with the weather we have

I like the idea of having artificial turf as an option to play on for practice and games when weather permits. The downsides - the game is played at a much different style and way, which the ball bounces like a basketball it seems. In addition during summer times the turf seems to soak up the sun that it get's so hot it feels like a sauna!

Silverbacks for our entire club all week. It'll be great to get some touches in this week since it looks like the weather gets better this weekend.

We will be on Summerour Middle turf field tonight. New field, no lights yet, so it will be quick.

We went to Chattanooga - aka Lake Point. Grateful for the touches - glad gas prices are still low. It's a haul up there

All this rain is making me miss playing in Lakeland though. North Mount Carmel I'm sure will be ok if the sun comes back out Friday but definitely not as great as a field as Lake Myrtle wise.
