My kids do Futsal, I'm not a fan of the walls at the indoor facilities..seen some bad injuries when kids gets slammed. I also like that there is no coaching in Futsal so its more relaxing to the kids, there is a parent coach at the indoor ones...i think kids need a break from coaching in order to think for themselves

You can sign up as an individual and they will put you in a team or you can get a group of kids together and form your own team. Its separated by age groups, twice a week, an hour long each session and you will get 5 games each night. The last night is a tournament style and winners gets a price, other than that stats are not kept. its 5v5 with a rotating keeper www.unitedfa.org/Default.aspx?tabid=222530There is also going to be a 3v3 Futsal tournament in Dec in Gainesville soccer.sincsports.com/TTIntro7.aspx?tid=TZ6795

Gainesville's facility is brand new. You'll get good competition in that area as well.

Futsal way better for kids. I signed my son up for www.yellowcapfutbolacademy.com. We did it last year and saw lots of CF and UFA players. They also have winter futsal training.

UFA Norcross and Silverbacks have indoor leagues. My kids have played in both during academy and have enjoyed the play. Teams seem a bit stronger at Norcross, but the facilities are great at Silverbacks.

No indoor for our kids this year. We've found it helps to foster bad habits like using the wall either propping their hands on it or playing the ball off of it and the epic bunching up that seems to transfer over to the regular field when they start back up in the spring especially the younger kids. We'll probably just do some group private training to keep their touches fresh.

Take a bunch of kids and find a park. Toss some shirts on the ground for goals and play small games until they can't walk

We'll probably just do some group private training to keep their touches fresh. Then play futsal. Small space w/a hard surface so it's very fast and puts a premium on ball control. And no walls so you can't fall into bad habits. If you lose control of the ball, you lose the ball.

Personally, I've not up on futsal and have never even seen it played before.

Anyone familiar with AFU Futsal ? Yes, it's usually at Lanier HS. It's pretty well run. Separate sessions for younger and older girls and boys at the two different gyms they have at the school. They do about 1/2 hour of ball work and conditioning and then 1/2 hour of scrimmaging.
