Worst possible location - that's right near where the new Braves Stadium will be. Cobb County officials must think residents here actually want more gridlock!

ha! yea, can only imagine what it will be like on a night when the braves play. total cluster! Its a tough spot to go to for those who live east of 400 thats for sure!
Well the reality is very very very few of us will ever have to worry about driving there!

I live about two miles from the new Braves stadium in Vinings, GA, the traffic is bad now with all the construction, I dread what it's going to be like when the stadium opens

Unfortunately there is not an ideal spot anywhere in the Greater Atlanta area for training due to the terrible transit situation here. Even if the location would of stayed the same it would have been bad traffic for someone.

It's still a couple miles from the Braves stadium. As I understand it, the project is part of the redevelopment of Franklin Rd (http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/marietta-embarks-upon-franklin-road-revitalization/nmSsD/).
If any county is suited to handle these type of issues it's probably Cobb County. A lot of the traffic issues now stem from the changing/adding of roads, more lanes etc in order to prepare for the Braves.
Besides, traffic is bad everywhere, every day in Atlanta...

The ideal place would have been the old GM plant in Doraville. I wish that Atlanta United had built a soccer-specific stadium and a training complex. It's on MARTA and accessible to both east and west sides of town. Alas, that's not going to happen. But as atlcoach84 said, traffic is horrible every day in Atlanta and I don't see any way it will be improved in the next 10 years.

As has been mentioned before there is no ideal place, but Doraville is a horrible place to get to during rush hour, you can pretty much discount anyone west of 75 being able to get there before 7 PM
