So what do folks think, is Disney Jr. worth the trip?
Personally, I love it, I think this will be by 4th year going in a row, and I know some that have been for many many more! My kids look forward to it, and I just love the ability to stroll around and watch some quality soccer. The pitches are beautiful and the competition is different.

This will be my family's first time to Disney for the Soccer Experience. We are looking forward to it...don't have any idea what to expect...but I know it beats playing the 40 degree weather here!

I dont know if I like the term "worth it", but the trip is a fun trip. This will be our 2nd year going for Jr Showcase, but we have also gone for 3v3 nationals. The venue is awesome and the ability to easily watch other games nice as well.
We make it a family vacation so we try to not only go to the soccer venue but at least one other touristy venue.
You must go with a plan though if you want to catch other games. Reading through the schedules of the older teams helps to come up with a plan to watch games.

Been 6 times and thankful that this year we only have to go to Disney once and not at Thanksgiving . Worth it is very subjective but not sure the money and travel time, mainly coming home if you make it to the Finals, is really worth it.

I feel its one of the better tournaments. You can make the trip what you want it to be. We love it. I like getting away, the games are usually top notch. Wont get rained out so that's always plus. Being a soccer family like most of us are, these out of state tournaments are great ways for family bonding mini vacations. To me that's priceless. The soccer is a bonus.
Just have fun. Enjoy your family and represent your club and state.
Georgia Rocks!!!

The facilities are top notch but we have been 3 times and our toughest competition always seemed to be other soccer teams. Last year the four teams in our bracket were all Georiga teams. A little frustrating to spend all that money to play the same teams we played all regular season. I realize that the competition gets more diverse as you go up in age, but it is still an expensive trip for a tournament. This includes entry fees for all family members for the weekend, somewhat more expensive hotel accommodations and everything at the ESPN facility costs significantly more than their equivalent at other tournaments.

Have gone to multiple events there. The Soccer can be uneven meaning often hard to class teams since they are from all over. We finished last year 2-0-1. The two wins were relatively uncompetitive. We did not go on because of tie breakers. Travel company help left a lot to be desired. Complex is nice but had a late evening game where temps dropped into the thirties. In my opinion for cost distance and potential for cold weather it's not worth it. Rather be home on thanksgiving and play local.

I'd like it to be kinda wintery / fall-ish. It was sunny all day and 70° tonight at practice. Had to unpack the coaches shorts again it was so hot.

Didn't always enjoy the trip, but now that my kids teams no longer play Disney, I can honestly say I look back on these times as great memories and miss the trip. I remember my son and I drove down on thanksgiving day one year and ended up eating thanksgiving dinner at some (crummy) italian restaurant. I also remember complaining how I hated Disney (for many of the reasons mentioned above) and pissed that I missed thanksgiving dinner with the family. I now think back at how fortunate I was to be with my son and spending quality time with him, watching him do what he loves, and spending the next few nights/days with some really good friends watching some great soccer. I miss those days, so enjoy while you can.
