LakePoint Sports, Duke Hospitality form joint venture to develop hotels on LakePoint campus www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2016/04/22/lakepoint-sports-duke-hospitality-form-joint.html"LakePoint Sports partnered with Duke Hospitality to form a joint venture for the development of “upper midscale” hotels on the LakePoint campus. The LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center, a $1 billion, 1,300-acre sports complex located at Interstate 75 and Red Top Mountain Road, is adjacent to the Bartow County community of Emerson, Ga., about 40 miles north of Atlanta."

There are already several hotels in development up there - is this an old article or are they looking to put hotels further away from the complex? My only concern is the bottleneck possibilities getting to the fields since the hotels are all along the same stretch. Also could be a pedestrian nightmare crossing the street - hopefully these plans also include pedestrian walkways to the fields.

Lake Point is hosting club games already, makes sense to move some portion of SC there.

State Cup is after regular club season so it wouldn't really be a conflict.

State Cup is after regular club season so it wouldn't really be a conflict. I know it's hot in Columbus, but State Cup on turf in May would be pretty brutal.

It's one game a day, no a big deal. Its a lot closer to metro Atlanta where most teams are at. If not SC at least final four
