GA United also trained out of Norcross. The reason for the Forsyth registration is because its the only way to keep it centralized, that wont change the price of the program.
The cost is mentioned once you register..and I'm pretty sure they will all cost around the same except for AU. Are anyone else's fees posted?

I will say what I have said before, I feel like U12 DA is pointless.
For those parents who want their kids to play U12 DA they will not see the travel as an inconvenience. Won't SSA & CF have the same issue since they have multiple locations?

And the teams that don't have it, AFU, interatlanta etc will get to compete for RPL spots, while the teams that do u12 DA will come back the next year and have to play in classic 1 with rpl spots already decided and those teams playing in RPL. (unless they change RPL to start at u14)

(unless they change RPL to start at u14) but u13 RPL is only for the spring, so the spots are not decided until the fall season is played. If those teams play fall of U13 they have the same chance at the rpl spots as the other clubs.

yes, those u12 DA teams won't play u13 fall classic soccer. For classic/athena 2004s will be u13 this fall, so when the 2004s come back to classic after a year of u12 DA, they will be u14s. but the clubs will still have regular teams on top of the DA ones. not everyone will play DA, the fees are more and distance will be an issue for some clubs. if AU is at Lakepoint for now, how many people are willing to make that drive?

I think Lakepoint is just for tryouts. AU web site said practices will be within a mile of permanent training facility before that opens.

Can you drive to Norcross from ANYWHERE in 45 minutes between 4 and 7pm?

UFA finally announced their tryout info for u12 DA forsyth.unitedfa.org/u12da1) They will train out of Norcross, not exactly convenient for all of UFA. No reason 11 year olds and their parents should have to drive 45 minutes to training 3 to 4 nights a week. 2) There is no mention of cost. 3) It is out of Norcross, but they want you to register through Fowler --- beware fees are higher out of Fowler branch then Norcross branch.... Maybe UFA is trying to pick up some players who live closer to Atlanta who'd have no interest in driving all the way to Forsyth. Or maybe UFA is making a concession to Norcross so they'll have a higher level option close to home. Granted I know few players at Norcross, but it seems like some of the top talent has been pulled out of Norcross to Forsyth since the merger occurred. Sending some talent the other direction would probably be appreciated.

If you live in the Gwinnett/Dekalb or eastern parts of Atlanta, it just doesn't make sense to drive all the way to AU in Cobb. At least not at the U12 level. I say wait to see how things pan out before you make that commute. Plus unless you are a phenom i highly doubt you will get as much attention or playing time at AU. I would rather have my kid play at one of the other 6 clubs and get some solid playing time so he can develop. Then maybe at U14 and if he is good enough, make the transition to AU.
