How were the turnouts tonight? We were at Forsyth and about 40 girls for 2001, maybe 80 for 2003!! Heard only 16 at Norcross 2001 tryouts, we left just in time. They have ignored girls program too long. Unknown coaches this year.

I know three of the Forsyth coaches are going to Norcross. They are wanting to improve the program over there.

I don't like him, many don't. However, the coaches in that age group this year are excellent. My daughters coach last year in that age group but level lower is probably the best she had ever had. The grass isn't always greener. My daughter left to AFU a couple of years ago, had the worst coach she had ever had, almost quit soccer, returned to Norcross and actually brought several players with her as that whole team left AFU. The club was probably fine just shows the power one coach can have. Good luck to your girls up there...UFA is putting up some quality in Forsyth.

Concord had 16 show up for 2003 girls! The first thing mentioned in the parents meeting was not to be "nervous" about the turnout. They said they had other girls showing up tomorrow, 16 of them, but still appears to be a small showing. It looks like they lost a lot of coaches too. Anyone know what is going on there?

Oops, sorry, it was for the North. ECNL was in the morning and hence they ensured a larger turnout for this evenings tryout. But that number still seems a little low to me.

About 100 kids at UFA 00 (U17) boys; they will have 4 teams (SRPL/NL, Classic 1, and 2 others to be determined).

Yeah Jack, coach was horrible, and no longer with the club. We have guested with Forsyth this spring and she enjoys the girls, and wanted a change. There was several inter club coach moves between Forsyth and Norcross. Good luck everyone, and hope the kids are happy, that's the point..

I agree ... kids that are happy as well as finding a good coach. The club doesn't matter all that much to me.

Anyone know what is going on there? bunch of '03's from CF showed up at Forsyth is what i heard since their coach is now there. I'm sure lots of people showing up at different tryouts today.

That would explain the large group of 03's last night. They took over 4 fields

I have no concrete numbers but if I had to guess, he probably got some of his former boys to go with him and I heard some Eagles left to go to there but Norcross is still pretty stout on the boys side for sure. The girls side won't be shabby either.

Ah, I see that how they did in last year NL play gave them a spot. Deservedly so.
