U-16 GNT vs. Netherlands: Highlights - Sept. 20, 2016
Great ball played for goal 1. What do people think about the first goal for the Netherlands, around the 1:25 mark. When the shot is taken it looks like the goal scorer is in an offside position (hard to tell). Oh, and that keeper looks like she might be 6'1"

Looked off to me, but there are too many variables for us to know for certain.

It looks to me that she was off by at least two yards. Every US player was touching the 18 yd line while this player was inside at two yards or more. From the view we had in the video she was off to me.

So whats the rule there, she can't be the first one to touch the ball, but lets say someone else played it first is it a legal play if she finished it off?

So whats the rule there, she can't be the first one to touch the ball, but lets say someone else played it first is it a legal play if she finished it off? If she is in an offside position when the ball is played by a teammate (shot, pass, whatever) and gets involved in active play (touches the ball, interferes with an opponent, etc.) then she is offside. The offside position would reset if a defender made a purposeful play on the ball (if defender gets possession, misplays the ball, etc. - not just a deflection or save). Assuming she was in an offside position here (looks like she was but you can't tell 100% from the angle of the video), then she should have been called offside.
