ha, this is not my quote, it was in the comments section below the article, but this point also drives me totally insane!

Though I completely disagree agree with it, I get the argument against these payments, in that club's already got paid to train the players...
I think hiding behind "it costs the player money" is total bullcrap.
I would propose that payments be released to clubs, based on years registered, but only for need based scholarships. Might as well open the can of worms wide.

I think it would be great. This way clubs wouldnt have to charge. They would invest in better coaches and would truly be about development because they know a chance in the future that they would get some sort of kick back.
I think if the whole world has been doing it that way and its a Fifa rule then why not adapt or follow the rules.
