Looks like the GA and NC clubs will be grouped together in the U13 and U14 ages. By my count, its a 13-team league, 7 in GA and 6 in NC.
At U15, U17, and U19, it will be GA, NC and FL together. 15 teams in the U15 level, 14 at U17, and 12 at U19. The new teams besides UFA are Jacksonville Armada and Tampa Bay United (U15 only).

Have you seen a new club map for next year? Do you know if any teams got dropped? (I thought I heard a rumor that one of the NC DA teams was going away.)

I only looked at the divisions that were listed next to the teams on the press release. Theoretically, since there aren't any NC teams being added to the older age groups, they could be in a different region, but it would be very surprising.

Any word on coaches and training field(s)? Not yet, but there is going to be an informational meeting soon. Fields will be either Fowler, South and/or Milton. Except for the u12, I heard those will remain in Norcross.

The scary part is having some 2007s potentially play on the u12 sides next year, those kids are young!!! For U12 it is why they should keep it pretty much only 2006's next year unless the kid is already playing up an age group. 2007 will be too young for the U12 DA, only the parents that are auditioning for the movie trophy kids 2 would want that for their 2007 year old kid.

Look for a few PSAs to come out shortly --
If your kids a 2007 do not try out or try to get your kid to play u12 next year.

When will DA abide by the age mandate? The age mandate for DA will go into effect this fall... U12 - 2006 U13 - 2005 U14 - 2004 U15 - 2003 You get the trend...

Good to know they're falling in line with the mandate, just a year after the big shakeup. It never made sense why they waited after blowing up every other team - when the mandate was supposedly about aligning with international norms (that may not actually exist)
Hopefully all age the group designations go away and they simply organize by birth year alone.

I believe the mandate isn't technically in place until August 2017, so seems they were following it. If so, I question why all the clubs were in a rush to shake up all their teams/players/parents. But whatever - it's here now...

Yes, you are correct they have both been doing it by full birth year but DA is still calling them by the old U-age group designation (this year's 02's are called U14 at DA but U15 elsewhere) and won't change that until the fall. ODP doesn't use U anything; I think this makes more sense just to call them by the birth year!
