My guess is by doing these, they should be able to gauge some of the non-DA GA united players against current GA united players and also evaluate the norcross/fowler/eagles kids all together so when tryouts do come, they have a list 1 to 20 in every age group of players ranked.
Tryouts will change everything though, because there will be a ton of outside players showing up, and probably overwhelming to have truly opened tryouts. Mistakes will be made for sure. And of course like every year, UFA players will get cut in favor of the flashy new kid that the coaches have only seen for 15 minutes but think are better than what they have. And I will be honest, the last 3 or 4 picks on a team can change a teams season, you need quality depth and most importantly depth of players that fit your system.

The 3pm - 5pm session began but quickly got called because it was pouring. The 5pm - 7pm session was scrapped.

UFAs boys DA teams in my opinion will do well. The 01s/02s will be strong simply because Dixon is coaching them - He'll lose some of his current players to Atlanta United, but he'll have a good group that should mix in well with the top 2001s. The 2003s will probably be most of GA United's u13 team, that is a good team, just needs to grow physically The current crop of 2004s do well when they are split up by age against other DA squads and have a nice mix of size and skill. The 2005 is good mix of kids between current u12 DA players and the Fowler and Norcross teams. And if Velko is coaching them, he will get everything out of those boys and will play some nice soccer. The 2006s will probably lose some quality players to Atlanta united, but looks like a deep group that play nice soccer and with JJ being a coach, you know he'll sneak some talented kids out there last minute. Team will have attitude and fight for sure. given the depth of the 2006s I'd be surprised if there are more than a few 2007s on the roster.

What locations will the UFA DA boys program practice out of, specifically the 2004, 2005, and 2006 for the 2017-18 season?

I'm assuming the 2004 coach is still going to be the new guy they are bringing in? It also seems UFA will be doing the tryouts in the am for DA and regular in the evening. In my opinion that's physical overkill for the kids involved in that. Even knowing that the top kids will and already will know their status after the first session, it's not right for all the other kids that then have to go perform in the evening. All clubs doing it the same way

I think any club would understand if you don't go to both morning and evening tryouts. For instance, if you go to DA tryouts for one club, why go to evening tryouts for the very same club? In other words, a smart club would consider a great player for other leagues if applicable.

Key words there are "smart club"--I know a kid at Concorde who was told last year he had to go to both their morning and nighttime tryouts. I don't plan on making my kid go to both and hope UFA will be "smart"!

I heard that Concorde wont do that. I think it was based by the coach. Might need to get extra look.

Unfortunately, its the only week you can do tryouts and there is no other way. Is it ideal? no, but I'm sure after the first day they can let you know if your kid has a chance or not

I just read that Forsyth charges an additional $300 for non Forsyth county residents. Is that included in the yearly fee? For example, if the fee is $1900, will it be $2200 for a Gwinnett or Fulton resident?

And yes your out of county fee will be added to the total when you register

Gwinnett charges $90 per season for Out of County as well. The fees also go to the Parks and Recreation departments. It is the same for the aquatic centers if you live outside of Gwinnett, have to show ID, and there is an upcharge if you are not a county resident.

Just a guess but I'm assuming for DA it will be built into the cost and players won't pay different fees depending upon where they live.
That's just a guess...especially given it's out of the players control if they train in Gwinnett or Forsyth.

Thats a great question! and i have no idea lol but I will assume that it will be built into the fee since all the clubs are staying within the same range??

Other than AU, not sure of other clubs except UFA. Even though they had players from both Forsyth county and Gwinnett, they charged one flat rate. From a location in the system standpoint, UFA DA U12s are out of Forsyth(home field is Fowler), even though in actuality training etc. occurs in Norcross.
