From Saturdays game, isn't that the 3rd red card they have received this year. And Chicago got a red early in the game as well, so in 6 of the games they have played, there have been 4 games with red cards.

It is... the first one against the New Jersey Red Bulls was deserved, if ridiculously stupid. No actual harm was done, but it is still a red. I'm guessing Carmona probably had a very nice discussion with the coaching staff about not doing that again.
The Chicago card was soft, but possibly a legitimate red. I would not have complained if it had been yellow, and if it had been my team, I'd have complained about it being red.
The last two cards were ridiculous, and both should have been (or should be) overturned. In the Toronto game, they decided to show the play on the jumbotron BEFORE the referee had made his decision. There is much speculation that the review, the crowd, and Michael Bradley significantly influenced the decision. It was wrong. There was no malice, and the right call would have been obstruction on the Toronto player prior to the careless elbow by Asad (which should have gotten a yellow).
The last red in the Montreal game was ludicrous. The referee incorrectly judged that Pirez was not trying to play the ball. That led him to give the triple-punishment option (penalty, down a man, and suspension) instead of a yellow card. Replays from an alternate angle clearly show the Montreal player dove, which enhanced the referee's punishment.

I think the Asad incident was harsh but he definitely caught the back of the guy's head.. enough to snap it forward. I think the dude set a moving pick, and Asad tried to keep playing - but that's an opinion based on multiple replays.
The side angle video of the Pirez red card incident totally changed my mind. It'd take a ref with big giant balls of steel to call that against Montreal though - and I understand why the ref did what he did. He judged that Pirez ran the guy over, as in a push. Has to be red if that's what he saw. That guy was really clever, baiting the contact and making the foul.
Referee may be the hardest position on the field.
It will be nice to see this team get to play 90 minutes full strength for a change.
