Does anyone know the age groups that are invitation only at Atlanta United for 4/28? I think 2003 & 2006 age groups so far but are there more that date? Anyone know about 2004, 2005 age group?

Don't forget you have the flip side --- for every new kid added, their is a kid being sent packing. tough days ahead, but that is life
The million dollar question is when are currently rostered kids that do not fit in the picture for Atl United for next year told that they should look at other opportunities?

Yeah not sure. I heard rumors that a list was sent to the clubs that they wanted (04,05) it didnt mention ID session. It said they wanted. Gave the coaches time to try and keep player...anyone know about this?

There are some parents worried that the DOC is blocking invitations. If anyone knows when 2004 and 2005 ID Session that would be great to know. 2006(7) is tonight and 2003 is Sunday 4:30.

No DOC is blocking. Heard parents already have been notified. No ID session.

I have heard of a couple of clubs where DOC's are telling their kids they can't go

Tell those DOC's everyone is free to go where they please in a couple weeks, and open doors are more likely to attract players back.

In an effort to do an end-run around DOCs, I hear parents and players are being contacted directly.

Was the 2002 ID session last night? 2003 I know for sure but don't know about 2002? Thanks! Do you know if any of the Concorde DA 2003s were there? I know GA united's 02s/03s were in North Carolina all weekend.

Current DA players are not allowed to go without club's permission. Plus all of those kids get looked at whenever they play against them

Sorry, I have a friend's son in that age group attend. I will ask and see if they know. I doubt it, as we are from a small club in Classic 1 for both 2003 & 2004.

Do you think these ID sessions are real tryouts in disguise or will there be meaningful tryouts later?

Do you think these ID sessions are real tryouts in disguise or will there be meaningful tryouts later? If you don't do well at showing your skills then most likely you will not be at the tryouts. My guess is that it's a way to focus on a more concentrated group of boys. Therefore, I would treat the ID Session as if it was a tryout or first round and hope to continue to be invited. My two cents worth 😃

For sure. All ID sessions are pretty much a tryout. If you stand out im sure offers will come.

That is good to hear, you need current players there to compare against.
I guess you can only have a maximum of 20 full time players listed on each u13 and u14 roster, DPs do not account against this 20. The way around this I guess, is to roster a few younger players with older teams, but not certain. C. Academy Roster 3. General: The date by which each Club must provide an initial Academy roster for the 2016-17 season is August 15, 2016. Each roster shall be published on the official U.S. Soccer Development Academy registration website, and shall be considered the official roster of the Academy club. There is a minimum of 32 full-time (FT) players per Academy club combined in the U-15/16 and U-17/18 age group and 16 full-time players each in both the U-13 & U-14 age groups. There is a maximum of 20 full-time players at both the U-13 & U-14 age groups and 46 full-time players combined between the U-15/16 and U-17/18 age groups. At the U-12 age group, there may be between 24-26 full-time players. There is no limit to the number of rostered players that do not have United States citizenship
