Honestly , not sure why I'm asking this question, because it really doesn't matter but ----
Why the need to register for the girls and not the boys? (Because the boys already had u12s and the GA United teams??)

(Because the boys already had u12s and the GA United teams??) It just has to do with planning. When they did the boys 1st session all of the registration was on site and it took a while to get people in the system. The girls session was organized by someone else and they decided that things would go smoother if they pre-registered which it did. Girls were pre assigned #'s and just had to be checked off the list, there was still walkups but it was a lot quicker.

Girls DA seems organized to the hilt. No Doubt that's Mo's doing.

For those that went to the second session, my daughter did for 01 Girls, what is the next step?/ Are they invited to tryouts or are they open?

Yea, I heard they had multiple invite only ID sessions. Thats how it should be. Were talking about a GA United team that will lose players to Atl, but what is left will be a big part of the 01/02 team. The current GA United 02 team is probably the best team in the southeast in the u14 age group -- teams like that don't have open tryouts nor should they

I was asking about UFA DA for girls. Any information about final tryouts? Sorry to hijack your thread . My point was that on the boys side, they are doing invite-only tryouts, so I would imagine they would be doing the same for girls. We were told it would be at the same time as regular Academy/Select tryouts but during the day instead of at night. Good luck to your daughter!

Both boys and girls. Information will be posted in the next couple of days

Open tryouts is probably worse if your kid is a bubble player and the tryouts are at different times for DA and regular etc. The word is the boys will have DA tryouts for the older age groups in the AM, then regular tryouts that evening. So kids on the bubble, will have to attend both. Hopefully there is open lines of communication for kids after day 1 and they are told to just stick with non-DA for example vs being dragged along for a few days.
Don't let them fool ya, for kids at the club currently, they already know where they stand. Its just a matter of who decides to return or leave that might effect some players.
