It's a great club. Professional coaches and well run. Lots of players to draw from.

Yeah, Tony has done alot of jumping around in clubs, that makes me want to be cautious on switching. Also, I have not heard alot of buzz about it out in the fields talking to DDY parents. So, not sure if it will have a strong response for tryouts this year.

Not sure what's going to happen with SSA Dekalb now that TA and CE are going to be suspended by GA Soccer for a full year for tampering and illegal recruitment. I know a friend of mine on the SSA staff has said they've looked at possibly holding off on offering anything other then Academy until the logistics get done. Better make sure you do the homework on who's coaching the age group you're looking at.

It would not be a good look for someone to disparage personnel at another club. Maybe you feel they're competing for players at your club...

I do know both of those coaches will attract players. I've heard a lot of good things about both coaches from parents and players seem to love them. If the Friday night open play sessions are any indications, there will be plenty of response for the upcoming tryouts.

We are currently with DDYSC (Decatur Dekalb ) right now, but starting in the 2017-2018, SSA will be having a club near our home. Need input and thoughts on that organization. We are also considering Inter FC Atlanta, but SSA is closer to us. Thank you. TA and CE seem to be great coaches. Ask around. SSA is a big organization, so the Dekalb branch having that backing would be very beneficial IMO. The SSA teams I have seen play are well organized and technical. With their backing and TA/CE coaching, seems like a strong start.

I'd be interested to hear people experiences when they jump over to newly formed clubs. The recent ones I can thing of are KSA and UFA-lawrenceville

There's a rumor that Concorde will launch a Dekalb branch at try-outs this year. Seems odd to wait so late with no announcement, but they did the same launching their Kennesaw branch last year. That would also spell trouble for Inter and DDY. Just SSA alone will already drain some players. But if Concorde jumps into that side of town, those clubs could face a tough new competitive landscape. Concorde Central is already located in Dekalb. Unless Concorde is going to do something with the new soccer development at Stonecrest Mall, I don't see the point.

Plus when you have so many is us witness watch them hand out flyers and talk to former players about joining at tryouts after an academy game between SSA and DDY it's kind of hard for them not to be punished. And no my club isn't in competition with them so I have nothing at stake.

Concorde Central is pretty Buckhead, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs oriented. I think the idea is to put a location on the east side of town to draw from Decatur and the upper scale intown neighborhoods. Wow Concorde jumping into the Decatur battle is big. Though with Inter building there new massive complex down in that area will definitely hold things back. Especially with them pushing for ECNL next year too. Oh to be away from all that.

My decision has been made. Stay with DRY. Thank you for the replies.

It just sucks that tryouts are mandated to be all at the same time.

Both TA and CE are great coaches. So, yes, do your homework. And it does suck that tryouts are all at the same time - especially this one coming on the heels of Memorial Day.

Ironic that TA and CE are banned for recruiting violations after last seasons super y fiasco that resulted in their firing.

SSA Dekalb has contact info on their site. It's easy enough to speak directly with people and find out what's really going on. And if you don't want to do that - contact the people at SSA's executive staff. It's easy enough to cut through the rumor mongering.

I would not bother to contact the SSA people because if they knew what happened they would not have done the hiring in the first place. I would contact people at DDYSC girls 03 super y to get an accurate picture. I will say that the DDY replacement Coach was top notch. Great motivator and the girls really played hard for him.

Is TA supposed to be banned right now? He is currently coaching U9 at the SSA South location. I guess that was supposed to be until SSA Dekalb started up.

What happened to the original post in this topic? It's like the OP played ding-dong-ditch.
