This is my first post here in the forums, its a 3 part post.
1. Ask peoples opinion of what Upper90 Magazine is doing as far as the camp opportunity, Next Level ID Camp.
2. Give anyone here who wants to attend an $85 discount link.
3. Request some ideas on feature stories for upcoming issues of our Georgia Upper90 Magazine edition.
Last year we, Upper90 Magazine, were just getting started and did a small camp in Alabama. We flew in a couple of trainers and scouts from Portugal to run a challenging camp and to evaluate potential prospects. As a result, Stephen Payne (a local standout from the Birmingham area) was signed to a professional contract with a club in Portugal. You can read about Stephen here: upper90magazine.com/blog/2017/01/10/stephen-payne-ready-to-kick-off-career-in-portugal/
There were also others that the scouts liked but were young and the trainers and scouts encouraged them to get into a good training regiment because the younger players were in that "Golden Age" of development. So many of those parents have taken their advice and will be returning to the Birmingham Camp this year.
Since then, Stephen's sister Toni Payne has signed with a top flight team in the Netherlands, club AJAX. You can read about here in the current GA issue of Upper90 Magazine: upper90magazine.com/Digital-Magazine/GA/Volume1-Edition3/
Since the signing of Stephen and Toni, we have been building relationships with their club, agents, and trainers and are flying them over to run a camp we are calling the Next Level ID Camp. It's for ages 11-19 boys and girls and we have partnered with the Silverbacks to put on this camp at Silverbacks Stadium.
My concern is this, with so many DA programs, ECNL, Region III Championships, etc that the best of the local talent won't be able to make this camp. The clubs have no interest in advocating the camp it seems. With that being said, what are anyones thoughts about the camp? I am open to peoples perspective on how to effectively attract talented players without the help of clubs. There are simply so many options and the challenge is we want the best players we can get in each age group to attend.
Once I get some response and feedback to this post I will be glad to put the link for a discount if anyone is interested.
