I'd be interested to hear what folks have observed with regards to turnover of players on top teams. And by top teams, I mean teams that go on to compete for national championships and regional championships on an annual basis -- one that comes to mind is the U18 team from UFA, Gaucho's team. Team won the national championship at u14 with Goslin and Carelton, and then continued on its path of greatness. How much turnover did this team have on an annual basis, is it the same core group of players but they have brought in one or 2 players a years? Did they have a season, where half the kids were cut? I do know their has been frustration from this group as many had been looked over by both GA United and Atlanta United. Many got bit by the age group bug, where they fell in the younger half of the age group etc in the past. Dominant players one year, but the next year they find them self being the younger half and not making the roster.
Just trying to separate out in my head the difference between establishing a great team in youth soccer vs what I've observed in DA, with massive player turnover at times where the focus seems to be more on the individual vs the team.

Was there a "great team" this year? Seems with age change, as you said, but also AU sending a ripple wave through all the clubs, I don't believe there was one club team in particular that ruled any age group.

Gaucho's team stayed mostly together even thru the age mandate, the younger kids played up. There was a girls UFA team the 99's I believe that did the same thing, they all stayed together.
