I won't give the sport away in the comments, but he's one of the best young players in his sport. His team hasn't played for a championship yet, so maybe he's not a mainstream name. But if you like the sport at all, you would like the way he plays. See also, Nolen Arenado.

No idea who that is. Soccer is very literally the only sport I watch on purpose.
Other sports may get an occasional look but very rarely by appointment - unless it's an annual group trip to a Braves game or something. I can honestly say I watch Ninja Warrior more than NBA, MLB, NFL, PGA, NCAAF, NCAAB.

No idea. Where and what sport? Baseball. He's a 24 year-old third baseman for the Baltimore Orioles. He's hit over 35 HRs the last two years in a row. He's a 2 time Gold Glover and a 3 time All Star. He'll be a consistent star for the next 10 years as well.

"All of which has inspired a different sort of projection: how big his contract will be when he becomes a free agent after the 2018 season. He will almost certainly approach -- or even top -- $400 million."
I keep telling my son he's in the wrong sport....
