So, how did it go? I've seen some friends post from ECNL showcase this weekend but haven't heard details yet. Any summaries of the inaugural season so far?

The boys ECNL showcase was fairly well organized (from a recruiting/college coach perspective). Overall I'd say level of play was a little better than the level at Disney this year, and not coincidentally there were more of the top 25 D1 programs in attendance than there were at Disney.

I scanned the college coaches listed on the web site, and it doesn't seem that many D1 programs attended the ECNL boys showcase. What do you base that on?

Other than being at the event (and at Disney), and catching up with a lot of my peers in the college game I don't have anything to base that on A lot of schools don't pre-register for events (like the Boys ECNL) as often times you are bombarded with emails from players that are either sending emails to literally every college coach (and/or to colleges that are out of their depth from a talent/academic perspective). The sign-in list at the college coaches tent (for people that didn't register online) was about 3 pages long. Also, on the flip side of things, some schools will register for events (even if they have no intention of attending) just to get access to the player profiles and brochures so that they can add the contact information to their camp databases for emails.

I guess the million dollar question is what do people think about it compared to either the DA or RPL/national league format. Was it better. Was the quality of competition better etc. More exposure?
Like how does a top AFU/ GSA side at u17 compare to a u17 DA team (excluding Atlanta Uniteds DA squads, which is my opinion an unfair comparison given there player capture area)
