Anyone know what happened that has led to the change in leadership with interatlanta and the departure of their director of coaching?

Who? John the Academy DOC? Or Matt the Executive Director?

Inter Atlanta posted this on their Facebook page today:
"On behalf of the Inter Atlanta FC board, I am pleased to welcome Carlos Parra to our club in the role of Technical Director. Carlos brings a varied and broad experience to IAFC, both as a player and as a coach. Over the last 20+ years, Carlos played on the U.S. U20 and U23 National teams, competing in the Youth World Championships with the U20s. He also played in Major League Soccer for the Colorado Rapids, New England Revolution, Miami Fusion, and the New York/New Jersey Metro Stars.
Most recently, he served as Technical Director and Director of Girls Development Academy at Weston FC in Weston Florida, with teams competing in US Soccer Development Academy (DA) and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). Prior to that, Carlos spent many years in Atlanta as Executive Director of Coaching for Atlanta Fire United Soccer Association. Carlos has his USSF “A” and “National Youth” licenses.
Carlos brings an exceptional level of experience and knowledge of the game to our club. His connections throughout U.S. Soccer and the U.S. Youth System will come to bear as he supports the development of our players and our coaching staff. Carlos will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a high-caliber soccer experience across all of our programs (Rec, Academy, and Select) for our players at every level.
Carlos will start at the club April 1, 2018 and report to Matt Busch, Executive Director.
Please join me and the board by welcoming Carlos to IAFC family.
Sincerely Stephen Pruitt President, Board of Directors IAFC"

I have talked to a couple of the coaches at AFU that he worked with and they didnt say anything nice. I also didn't hear great things in Weston. There was some drama last weekend with the U16/U17 GDA team and them not producing a team for their game against TH

Rumor has it that Weston may lose GDA because of all the stuff Carlos was doing.

I also heard that there was some issues with their 03 team and some girls leaving for ODP camp and missing a game

Got a text from a buddy at Inter Atlanta and old Carlos got the boot this week.
They never got DA and didn’t need him hanging around I guess. Barely lasted over a year there.
Sounded like Buschie is really struggling to hold things together so I wouldn’t be surprised if something big is coming.

Does anyone have an idea of what the beliefs are in making a change? Would the new leadership want to join with the big 5 and pursue SCCL or are they staying with the "little 5" (little 4 now that Smyrna is NTH) ?

Who are the little four again? Inter, Impact and who else?

Maybe we need a sticky for Big 5 (6?), Medium 5 and Little 5?
Not knowing myself, I did a little research on GA soccer, I've taken the number of games played and extrapolated with DA/ECNL/NPL/SCCL/NL how many games were played by the club in the fall (should be a good indicator of size).
Big 5 ===== UFA 1000+ SSA 1000+ NASA TopHat 1000+ Concorde Fire 700+ GSA 600+
Middle 5 ======== Atlanta Fire 450+ AFC 400+ Inter Atlanta 300+ Georgia Storm 300+ (this one is a bit wonky) Roswell Santos 250+
Little 8? (min 200 games played) ======================= Steamers FC 200+ Athens United 200+ MAYS 200+ Alpharetta Ambush 200+ CFC Red Star 200+ Cherokee Impact 200+ Georgia Rush 200+

Good list. Where would you put DDY?

I think DDY had in the 170's game-wise in GA Soccer, so assuming they have some NL teams on the boys side, just under 200. So in the next tier with clubs like Smyrna (RIP) and I think 3 more.

Who are the little four again? Inter, Impact and who else? You're right! Who else? Is there anyone else that is with them on the side of the whole feud thing? I wish I could ask FG. I used the "little 5" because it had been used in the past to describe the anti-"Big 5" (should have been "little 3" now minus Smyrna) that opposed the changes with SCCL and forced Ga Soccer to punish them. So does anyone know were the new leadership with Inter will stand on this issue?

All under 200 games for the club, but you know, i didn't factor DA for the clubs that had u12-u14. That'll probably bring LSA over 200 and AFC to near 450. MOBA was under 150. Chiefs under 200.
