Someone told me the other day that these 2 clubs merged but it wasn't mentioned here nor have I heard anyone talking about it. I know how much everyone here loves hearing about mergers so I thought I would throw it out there

Haven’t heard anything but I only know a few people at ksa and they seem to keep to themselves. KSA is an interesting club for sure.

KSA and Storm sponsor a tournament together with another small club. Maybe that’s what prompted someone thinking there was a merger. I think the smaller clubs are just trying to stick together to stay afloat. Storm is also going to do Super Y with Henry Co.

I asked him again this morning...he told me that he spoke to Bruno himself and congratulated him on the merge. I am not sure why it hasn't been made public

This is not a full merger. The clubs are going to work together to pool resources and help kids who want to and can play at higher levels play on a higher level team at one of the clubs through club passes. All in all, I think this is a great idea. The kids at these smaller clubs - all want to play soccer. So, they get that oppty Some of these kids don't have time or resources to put into the fees/etc to get to other clubs so they can play and play with their friends In addition, if a kid has the skills and the team at 'his/her' club isn't high enough for their skills, the clubs can work together to help the kid and the club.
I see nothing wrong with this. I see three clubs working together to do what everyone wants - give kids an oppty to play soccer at the appropriate level AND grow sportsmanship in the community.
My hat's off to all of them....and kudos for the kids who get the oppty to play soccer when/where and how they want and for the parents who have three clubs working with them to help their children just play soccer.

Can you club pass to a different club?

Depends on how they register the teams. Gsa has an alliance with North Ga Academy so all the teams are registered under gsa so they’re able to. From what I’ve been told about the Tophat & Lanier alliance they’ll be doing the same with the girls teams so under Ga Soccer they are all under one club. I believe Alliance SC out of Jackson County is doing the same with CFC in Dalton. There’s a few small regional clubs taking advantage of this type of alliance.

The announcement they put out says merger, not alliance. The only one with top teams is KSA, they will benefit with the nicer fields that All-In has. Storm is not around the corner and not sure how someone will benefit except by traveling more.
There's some crazy stuff going down in the next few months and the top 5 clubs pulling away from GA soccer.....

I don't have all the details but I heard they all got fed up how things were being run especially with RPL and theyre going to do their own thing. From what I heard it will minimize travel and parents should like that

I have heard the same thing, except it is with 6 clubs (the "big 6")... I also heard that it would be announced soon, only I don't know if that means it will be implemented in the fall or just sometime in the next year. So... I guess this will hurt the smaller clubs that have a quality team good enough for RPL, but also not wanting to do all the travel just like the "big 6". I also guess the Mega-clubs will become that much stronger.

US soccer has forced this with their incompetence. Will be interesting how this works out, but another league is a problem when looking at the big picture.
Still not sold on our this era of the mega club, I still yearn for the good ole days, of the small local club and the concept of a Georgia United pooling resources and having elite kids play for free.

There's some crazy stuff going down in the next few months and the top 5 clubs pulling away from GA soccer..... soccermom - it actually says both. The first paragraph says 'alliance' and the quotes say merger. I spoke with one of the individuals quoted and the information I shared is what I was told. - the clubs are not actually merging, but growing an alliance to create opportunities for the kids at the smaller clubs I guess it's like anything in soccer - we parents can only make decisions based off of what we read or are told. What matters most is what it will look like and unfortunately - due to the dynamics with Georgia soccer being what they are - no one really knows until it's 'done'

One only needs to ask why? Did someone not have a rec program large enough to cover their academy numbers? Was it a financial decision? Was it because of fields or lack thereof?
There's always a reason if one thinks long enough.

Well KSA has had issues in the past with fields. And All-In has good fields and Mark has good connections.

maybe - they're doing it to help kids enjoy soccer and grow their clubs. Just my guess - but I could be wrong. However, I'd rather assume something good about others rather than not because the world needs a little more optimism

I mean makes sense. All-In has solid rec and academy programs in Snellville and Sugar Hill with city parks, Ga storm has decent facilities and quality Select teams and KSA has some of the best boys teams and coaches in the state.
