These are private events and only attendees see the lists. They happen for both boys and girls

Inter Atl 05 boys are 1-2-1 in SRPL. Kind of strange 5 players ...

Coaches recommend kids, its usually a cycle of 3 and if you do well then you get invited to another cycle. They happen every month but that doesn't mean you will get invited to an actual national training camp in the future. Its a couple of hours long and its a few local club coaches and a US soccer rep/coach of some sort.
Also if you don't get invited back to the next cycle, it doesn't mean you won't get invited again.
Don't worry about the lists because they change. On the girls side, you usually can only see your club's list.

Inter Atl 05 boys are 1-2-1 in SRPL. Kind of strange 5 players ... That just means their coach put at least that many names, doesn't mean they are better, or they are worse. Some kids will get invited once and never again, some will get invited to all of them

Some kids will get invited once and never again, some will get invited to all of them I think there in lies one of the many issues with US Soccer. It should be based on the wishes and needs of the Coach for that age group through the scout. Based on the list I've seen, I would venture a guess of maybe half of the boys invited don't belong. I would rather have 12 quality boys on there as opposed to a bunch of boys who will definitely show very quickly they don't belong at this level. I do like that US Soccer is willing to give boys not from the big clubs or DA a chance, but you have to earn it. We need to stop handing out participation trophies.

Not sure how it is with the '05 age group but there were multiple US Soccer personnel changes when my son attended NTC's, and there would often be a different coach in attendance, or they left it to Jon Akin to do the coaching back when they were held at Oglethorpe. It was an honor for kids to be selected for these training centers, but the inconsistency was not ideal.

Has this event occurred? How did it go, any feedback? Theres no feedback on TC, they say thank you and that's it. Some kids get invited back and some don't, that's basically your feedback, no explanation.

Nice that some of the invited boys get to have this experience, but I still stand by my original comments regarding the quality of players. As Twdsoccer stated 4 teams of about 9. I think the team in Red were made up of the best players. Or at least the best players based on the coaching/scouting decisions. There were maybe two players on each of the two yellow teams and the blue teams that could have been on that "top" team. Otherwise that was it for talent. I think it benefitted the one or two top players on any of the other 3 teams since it gave them an opportunity to stand out. The red team was made up of about four AU players, a couple of CF players and at least 1 SSA player. DIdn't recognize the others from my vantage point - Club Coaches and other parents made it hard to see the boys.

I know one of the DNP was the striker from Inter-Atlanta, not sure who/where the third DNP was from. There were two 2006 players who were asked to play from AU to round out the numbers and make it even. One is a mid/striker and the other is a goalie(played up last year with NASA). Other than the two goalies from AU, a third from CF and one other who I was not familiar with, I don't think any of the other goalies looked that impressive. Again, you can just tell who gets actual goalie training and who doesn't. Three were talking, trying to sort the backline in front of them and direct the defenders on closing down the lanes.

Haven't seen him in person, but from what I've heard he is better. However, for once this was not about politics or favoritism. It was truly about being in the right place at the right time. If it were held at any other club, the local host club would also have had the opportunity to provide a couple of players to fill in the void left by injured players.
