Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he is ready to win silverware with Los Angeles Galaxy after a full-page advert in Friday's LA Times confirmed his move to the MLS club from Manchester United. The advert, in which Ibrahimovic was pictured in the white Galaxy kit, carried a message from the 36-year-old saying "Dear Los Angeles, you're welcome". He becomes the latest high-profile player to move to the MLS in the latter part of his career -- following the likes of David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard. Former England captain Beckham won the MLS Cup twice after joining Galaxy in 2007 and became an iconic figure for the growth of the game in a country hooked on more traditional American sports like NFL and baseball.

Ibra has had an amazing career. He will turn 37 in October. MLS isn’t known for its defense, so it’ll be interesting to see what he has left. Curious to see if he will play on artificial grass.

I wonder how many youth players from LA Galaxy will have to wait to get some playing time because of these moves ☹️ I for one wish he’d come to Atlanta United but then again is it good for MLS and US Soccer? Good for revenue, let’s keep making money, Selling tickets and jerseys.

Has anyone watched his documentary on Netflix? Good look behind the scenes from his first signing, etc

Zlatan does not age like the normal human. Zlatan ages like a fine cabernet. He is one of the few players that would get me to MLS matches on a regular basis, even at 36. Already have made arrangements to see LA Galaxy in Dallas in May. The combination of size, speed, skill, vision, and soccer IQ is amazing. And the animated Nike commercials were awesome. You're welcome indeed.

You're welcome indeed. Just now getting back to my hotel, was in LA for business and was able to get a hold of a couple of tickets. Repping the A with the 5 stripes. Great game, nice atmosphere. Hate the confetti et.al but all the same, nice to see our boys get the three points and show off the Earth Friendly kit. Wish that was the Alternate Kit color but Great Road Win.

Huge, but if Ronaldo decides then I think it would sell more tickets. I prefer Iniesta’s skills over finishing so great thought!
